I purchased two of these for my wife's 2004 Grand Marquis. Everything fit perfect. I did NOT switch out the tone ring as many have said is necessary and my ABS is working just fine. I have almost a 1000 miles on them so far.Update:It's been about a year and these are holding up just fine on my wife's daily driver.

I have always used local parts stores for replacement auto parts in the past. I was a little nervous purchasing a major part online. When my car (2003 Grand Marquis) burnt up a bearing and wore into the axle I looked for a replacement locally. All the stores needed to special order it, taking at least 2 days. Amazon Prime popped in my head, so I thought why not look. To my suprise I found this part; not only 66% the cost of local, but on Prime - free shipping! So I decided to give it a try.The part was delivered in packaging that did a good job of protecting it. It was well oiled - no rust or corrosion. This is the same brand as I would have gotten locally. I installed it, have been driving an average of 30 miles a day, and waited 3 months to write this review. This has been a great experience and the product is as expected.I will be checking Amazon auto parts for any that I don't need or can't get immediately locally.

I liked that this axle came with U.S made bearings, or so they said. The seal could be better but it fit. I froze my bearing for a day before installing. Went in relatively fine. My problem existed with the size of the axle. It maybe a few thousands longer, resulting (in my experience) a hard fit for the spider gear pin. However with a little shimmy, we got it in. I will be updating about 10k miles from now and seeing if everything holds up. So far so good.

Put axle in yesterday, fit very good and no issues with replacement part, only did the right side. May need the left in the near future and I wouldn't hesitate to use another one of these axles

Package did not include bearings, seals or lug nuts. Had to purchase from local auto supply store. Was not planning on spending that extra money, might have been better off just buying this from the local auto retailer for the extra price incurred. Additionally, I believe at least one of the axles or axle faceplate appears to be out of true, bent or off centered and causing a vibration and visibly noticeable shaking of the rim and tire. Allegedly this has a lifetime warranty, not sure how to go about that when the time comes.

Do not forget to remove the wheel speed sensor or you will not be able to remove the old shaft.Also, it doesn't matter if you are doing one or both sides, you must have the rear end up and brake pads/calipers off. If you try to just jack one side up, you will have problems getting the shaft bolt out of the pumpkin to remove the c clamp.

Installed in 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis, followed you-tube video, when on in about 2 hours. Came complete with bearing, seal and new lug nuts. Great value for the money spent.
