The Illustrated Encyclopedia of American Trucks and Commercial Vehicles Paperback – January 1, 1996

Got it for our Autistic son, and he likes the details.

I'm giving this a charitable 4 stars because of the photos. This is an encyclopedia style book with lots of entries for esoteric and long forgotten truck manufacturers. Marvel at photos from long ago of Packard movers, a Hart Craft Model C (?), and on and on. Tons of photos of unique trucks from long long ago.However, the text couldn't possible be more boring. This is strictly fact based analysis of trucks through the years. Absolutely no context, no depth, no discussion of how truck manufacturers compete. There are long discussions of the major truck companies, but when you stick to the facts so much I'm sure there are errors. I'm too bored by the facts (this model with this cab was built in this plant with this engine and transmission combo available)...yawn.... I'll just look at the photos.

Unfortunately there are no better books like this for the moment.

Sorry I forgot to provide feedback. But this is a great book. I had one years ago and it got lost when I moved. Just had to have another one. Very satisfied with this vender. The book was in fantastic condition and the price was great. Thanks

Small print and small black and whIte pictures. Not what I expected at all.

Another great book on American Trucks and the early models up to book current trucks. Excellent condition and fast shipping from great seller.

A good book but doesn't give you a lot of info on the common consumer trucks of the 50's and 60's which is what I was looking for. My industrial. Lots of info on those though.
