Many terrific ideas for a new gardener. I love to plant in pots and different containers and this book has plenty of ideas. There are tons of pictures and fresh arrangements. Too often, I fall in the rut of doing the same plantings, this has sparked my imagination to creating something different this year.

A lot of those gardening books are seem like designed for farmers or house wives. They boring and hard to read. I like this one because the contemporary plants arrangements and simple ideals. If you like country living or all American style gardenings, this is not for you. If you like Ikeas style, this is the book for you.

Being that is published by Sunset who usually has great info. This book was mundane and not very interesting. The cover is the best picture in it. Getting a Sunset magazine would be better than this book was.

Bought this for ideas and it certainly has enough. For me it came down to "what can I put in a large pot that looks different?"It's a keeper.

The Sunset Outdoor Design and Container Gardening book is a MUST for California gardeners. I've lived in several zones in California and the Sunset Book addresses all the information for the zones I've needed in order to have a successful and beautiful garden. I've given several as gifts to beginning gardeners....It's a MUST!!
