Very useful as a safety switch
I used them for making sure that stepper motors don't get too hot. So far very happy with them. Added a third one to a coffee grinder that blew the thermal switch and would have gone to the junk. Now not only does it work again, but will automatically reset when cool enough to safely run. Great stuff.

Good Value for your money.
I had to return them. I needed a snap switch that closed when something got hot. These kick off when hot.

Direct replacement for KSD201 in GE microwave, did the job!
Christmas at my sisters house, GE stove-top microwave/hood bites the bullet. First check: main fuse (blown). (Off to Harbor Freight for a digital multimeter then...) Second check: KSD201 Thermal Control Switches (it has two)--one has no resistance (good), other is shorted (infinite resistance--blown). Pop a readily available automotive Buss fuse in for the main fuse (see Note below). KSD201 Thermal Control Switch is not locally available and will take days on Amazon. However, above kit includes KSD301 of proper capacity. What's the difference? Will it work? Amazon will have the kit there tomorrow--Take a chance! KSD301 worked fine except that the electrical tabs were wider than the KSD201 and I had to file them down so the connectors in the microwave would fit. No big deal, took ten minutes or so with an automotive points file (probably could have used a fingernail file--the connectors are brass).NOTE: Main fuse is a ceramic "Slow blow" fuse. The "quick fix" automotive buss fuse worked for a week or two but eventually blew. Make sure you get the ceramic fuse either from Amazon or a local Big Box home repair store.
