This is a nice compass at a very reasonable price. It seems accurate and the dial is easy to read. It fits on my wide Casio G-shock watch band. The cover closes tightly, but can easily be opened. There is enough firm tension in the hinge on the cover to keep it open after it is lifted off the compass face. In all, this is a well-made product that is a great value.

Sturdy little compass good for general orientation. Has been on several trips, still working great. This is not intended for precise navigation but does provide north with acceptable accuracy.

I wanted a pocket compass that was better than the run-of-the-mill button type. This seems to fit the bill. It is protected while in my pocket and there was no bubble when it arrived. Thanks.

Protective cover closes and latches securely. Accurate, fluid filled. Glows in dark if exposed to a few seconds from flashlight. I have a full-size compass in my pack, but if for some reason we are separated, this will do the job. Will not work properly within a few inches of metal, knife for example...compass is magnetized and any metal will alter readings. Great overall tool, small & easy to carry. Slots fit many watch bands, thinking of stowing in in my boot lacing.

Looking at the internal slide lot for this compass looks like it might fit loose. Gorilla tape can fix that. The plastic looks durable. The cover is hinged by a roll pin. Compass works great as long as you keep it away from strong electrical and magnetic fields. Its always pointing North. Its gonna be bulky which wont be ideal for long sleeved shirts. I dont think its meant to be heavy duty like aquatic operations or parachuting. Ideal for trail hikes.

When new, these things are great. Fits on my Timex iron man after i trim the band a bit, and i always have a compass on me.However...having run a compass on my watchband for years, they only last so long: they get caught on things and break off, the compass comes loose and falls out, or they get scratched to the point they can't be read.This one has a cover, so one would think its immune from scratching. Its not. I get a year or so out of one, and for the price that's not bad, though id prefer to buy ONE good compass and just keep it. Trying a band cut from a small inner tube this time to see if it helpsA brass case, with a replaceable, NON liquid luminous compass would be ideal. May just have to solder up my own. Until then i'll use these. For quick nav or direction checks they are good

This is tiny. We thought it a toy. We were going to use it as a Christmas gift, but it just seems like an insult.

The compass points N fairly smooth. I think the one I purchased is not like the ones depicted in their photos. N is neon, but S W E letters are not as bright as N. Not sure if mine slipped through quality control, but it doesn't match what is advertised where the photo shows all directional letters as being equally neon. The hinge pin for the cap has also loosened and is slipping out. It's too late to return, but I plan to order another one and hopefully the all the letters have the same neon brightness (and a more secure hinge pin). I will update this review if there is a noticeable difference in the directional letter's brightness.Update: Purchased another Sun Compass Wrist Turtle. S E W letters are still not as bright neon as N, but I can live with that. I guess it wasn't a quality control issue after all, but the picture is a bit misleading. The cap however is better on this one...no free-play on the hinge. It also seems a bit more responsive to indicating North (even while I was sitting near my computer). For the price and what it's able to adequately do, I upped the star rating to 5. I have it on a Ritchie silicon band with my watch (Luminox Leatherback Sea Turtle).

This is a good little backup compass for kayaking, camping, etc. My only criticism is that while it's small, it's boxier than I expected. It's fine for clipping to a lifejacket, but it sticks up really high on a watch band to the point where it's in the way and catches on things. If you want to wear it on your wrist, you're better getting the more compact version without the cover/cap.

Fits perfectly on the 22mm NATO band of my Timex Gallatin Expedition.Brilliant little compass, very cheap in price but sturdy and accurate when checked against a larger standard compass.Due to the way it's made the compass just needs to be left to settle for a few seconds in a level position and away from any ferrous metal when you take your reading (as you would a normal sized compass such as a Silva).

It fits perfectly on the band, and its location allows me to check my direction without twisting my wrist around.

This small compass is accurate and fits well on a cloth watch strap. It has a cover to protect the compass face. Spend time practicing with this piece of equipment.

Nice piece of kit. Useful without being to large on my watch band. Will be interesting to see how it stands up to day to day use.
