Only used for SURFACE snorkeling
Ok- I am not an expert snorkeler, only a novice. Not a good swimmer as well. I really do not like the traditional snorkel mouthpiece so I thought I would give this full-face mask a try. I will state, make sure you get the right size! I measure for a S/M and this was the perfect fit for my face (not too tight but also not loose). You really want to have a good seal around your face. Because of this, the mask did not leak when I was in water.I tried this out in the Keys this summer in calm ocean waters. Again, I only used this upon the surface (meaning, I put my face below the water enough to see underneath). I found the breathing a little hard to get used to, but it works-it is cumbersome getting used to the gas exchange and knowing that you don't have to hold your breath. The view is very clear. Even my family and friends who are avid snorkelers stated that the view from the mask is very clear (They wanted to try it out lol). I did not stay down long, maybe about 15-20 minutes, but I felt that was enough to see. However, I will state that when I surfaced and settled myself, I was lightheaded, a lil' queasy. I think over time it takes getting used to steadying your breathing and not hyperventilating throughout your snorkel experience. Overall, I feel like the mask is great and I'm now able to participate in seeing under the sea.

BUY THIS
I love this mask so much!! Other masks don't properly ventilate CO2 and give you headaches and can potentially kill you. This mask filters it out amazing. There was no learning curve no water ever enter the mask it never fogged up and I stayed under the water snorkeling for close to 6 hours. I had a cold when I used this and couldn't breathe out of my nose and even then I still had ease to breathe. When the waves came over the mask the snorkel never once let in water! I found over 35 shark teeth because of this mask. I knocked one star off for comfort due to it making my jaw hurt bc I was mouth breathing but it wasn't that bad. This mask is truly amazing, the cloth band doesn't pull your hair the plastic viewing is amazing even though it isn't glass. I can't express how much I love it I will never snorkel the old way again.

Comfortable
These are very comfortable. No pinch points like I’ve experienced with other fins. Perfect for travel.

not very comfy and not very useful in the water
fins are a terribly tight fit. I bought the XL size and could barely get my size 11 foot in them. Once i had to "little piggy wrestle my toes" into the mid-century torture device, they weren't very helpful to move around in the water. They aren't very big compared to other fins out there and i ended up removing them for most of the vacation and getting a work out for the gams.

not for intense snorkeling
these were great for floating around and looking at fish - you get a much better view than with goggles and this never fogs up. if you start doing any kind of swimming, though, you'll quickly run out of breath and become dizzy. this is coming from three strong swimmers. the air flow just isn't that great in these, but as long as you don't exert yourself too much, they work great.

Awful Full Face Snorkel Mask - Don’t Waste Your Money!
I did a lot of research before I purchased this mask. Most of the reviews I read recommended this Ocean Reef Aria QR+. Plus it’s made in Italy rather than China. It’s more expensive than a lot of other full face masks but I thought it would be worth the extra expenseI expected this Aria QR+ to be very well made for the price of itI also made sure that I ordered the correct size as recommended on the Ocean Reef websiteHow wrong was I because as soon as I unpacked it I immediately thought it was very badly made eg. when you click on the snorkel it has tiny plastic clips either side of it that don’t look like they will last very long at all, also when removing the snorkel you have to get your finger nails under both these tiny bits of plastic (luckily I have long nails!). If feels very cheap and nastyI also found that the float/ball inside the top of the snorkel gets stuck both ends of it’s travel which means it either doesn’t shut off air getting in or doesn’t drop back to allow air to get back in…that is just very dangerous in use and you definitely cannot rely on it working 100% of the timeProbably the worst bit of this Aria QR+ is that it leaks like a sieve. It doesn’t matter how tight I pull the straps both sides it still leaks badly. Even when I have it on it’s not comfortable at allBare in mind that I made 100% sure that I ordered the correct size according to the Ocean Reef websiteUnfortunately I had to return this to Amazon for a refund as it is simply not fit for purpose. All the reviews I read were very positive but believe me it’s utter rubbishI have since purchased the SUBEA (Decathlon) Easybreath 900 version, in size S/M, and it is in another league. It’s so much better made and just works as it should. For the record the Easybreath 900 is also less than half the price of the Aria. There are two other Easybreath full face snorkel masks; the 500 and the 540 (all based on the same basic design) that are £28 and £30-£32 respectively so even less than half the price of this AriaThe Easybreath is so much better made and everything works as it should. It also seals perfectly and doesn’t let a drop of water in. The float/ball runs very freely and the snorkel is simplicity itself to click on and off. It has the feeling of being extremely well made and that it will last a lifetime. The Easybreath is made in Poland rather than ChinaI would absolutely 100% recommend the Easybreath 900 or the 500 & 540 as they are all built to the same specificationsSo I just cannot recommend this Ocean Reef Aria QR+ full face snorkel mask. It is very badly made, doesn’t work and it’s expensive. This time you definitely don’t get what you pay for. I consider it to actually be dangerous in useThe Easybreath’s I can totally recommend. They are a bit of a bargain AND they just work as intended
