Mom told Josh she had a lot of errands to do so they wouldnβt be able to go to the park & play.He was going to be her helper.1st stop dry cleaners.Mom held the door open for a lady & her baby. When getting ready to leave she walked right into another lady. Mom apologized of course. On to the grocery store. What happened there & at home?I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.A very awesome book cover, great hand drawn colored pictures, & proper font & writing style. A very well written childrenβs (age 4-6) educational kindness/manners story book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great childrenβs educational kindness/manners movie, an animated cartoon, a classroom PP presentation, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.Thank you for the free author (s); Orange Blue Publishing; BookSends; Amazon Digital Services LLC.; bookTony Parsons MSW (Washburn)

Review of the children's book: You Are Kind
What a lovely story and a timely message for today's children! Being kind is something that can be learned and comes naturally too! This story features Josh and his mother. Josh exhibits natural kindness in wanting to help his mother out running errands! Josh's mom does some teaching about kindness with Josh as they do their errands. Holding a door for a woman with her baby in a stroller. Another kindness in saying sorry when you make a mistake like bumping into another person by accident!Josh also learns about giving encouragement to another person as kindness too! Josh's mother encourages Josh that he can push the cart at the grocery store. And he does!!Josh shows kindness when he shows empathy for a boy who fell down and was crying. I like how Josh's mother teaches Josh about kindness is being kind to others and yourself too!At the end of the book they put little notes on the door of things they are grateful for! A good ending to a book full of kindness! The illustrations show what is going on in the story illustrating each part nicely! The story itself is perfect for a young age group around 4-6 with an elaboration for each type of kindness that can be discussed by the parent or reader with the young child.I gave this book 5 stars and will be reading it to my grandson who is the right age for this book! Kindness is for everyone!

Kindness is Contagious, Run and Catch It
This will be my honest review not just kind. It is my honest opinion that I Highly Recommend this book for anyone and everyone. The illustrations are uplifting. The story is easy to follow along for the smaller tyke and has a more intense meaning for the older ones. Mr Gordon has a way of doing that. All ages will be wanting to. listen/read this book over and over again. Mom told Josh they couldn't go to the park today she had to many errands. He told her he would be her helper. "Josh you are kind.". Later he wanted to know what kind was. " It is something you be or something you do. ". Holding a door open for someone is kindness. Doing things for others makes the world a nicer place to be. They were at the grocery store. "Would you like to push the cart? It would be a help to me.". He wasn't sure he could. Did Josh make it all the way through the store? Was he kind to his mom by helping? What would you do?

One of a Kind!
This is one of my favorite books by Mr. Gordon! I loved how mom didn't just TELL Josh what "kind" means, but she SHOWED him as they went about their day.As usual, the rhyming scheme was spot on, and children will love the coloring pages at the end. My only minor quibble is that mom was wearing different clothes throughout the story; she went from pants to a skirt, and her sleeve length kept changing. Children may not notice, but it did bother me somewhat.Overall, I think this was a great little book with an important lesson, and the author was very kind for writing it.

You Are Kind
Thanks so very much Mr Gordon for another great book! I think we have lost count of all your books my granddaughter and I have enjoyed. This book was a tool that we used to build character for my granddaughter, kindness, caring about others, being polite and courteous when needed. I would recommend this book to parents to teach their children how to be helpful, polite and courteous. I gave this book five stars because it it teaches your children integrity and self worth! ππΎππΎππππππβ€οΈβ€οΈ

Teach Kids to Be Kind
Joshβs mom tells him they canβt go to the park to play because she has a lot of errands. On the way he asks what kindness is and if it is something you be or do. His mom demonstrates throughout the day what kindness is in all it forms. One of the most important lessons was when mom told him that he has to be kind to himself and learn to forgive himself when he falls short of the person he is trying to be. Parents need these messages as much as the children. As adults I believe we often forget some of these lessons.

Great to encourage kindness
You Are Kind is a beautiful story that shows the importance of kindness and how you can be kind to others. The story starts with Josh asking about kindness and his mother shows him what it means and feels like through her actions before Josh begins to copy and find ways of showing kindness himself. This is such a lovely way for children to learn about kindness as they get to see it as Josh does and this'll help them learn and remember what it's like to be kind. The illustrations are colourful and eye catching and are very good at showing the emotion of Josh and his mum throughout the book. This is good to show the children how kindness can make you feel as well as the recipient. The characters are lovely and it is nice to see how Josh showed more and more kindness as he learnt and the book went on.This is a fantastic book to help young children to understand kindness and encourage them to show more kindness too!
