Protection
What I like about this product is easy installation, what I dislike is the screws where to small. Had to find ones that fit and then fill the tops with plastic so anyone could not unscrew.It does a good job at securing items, will not stop someone hell bent on getting in but makes a problem for quick grabs. Overall it does a great job and I would recommend it!

Very easy to install in less than 10 minutes. But see comment.
The unit is very sturdy and would be very hard to remove in a time any thief would want to take, and they would need proper tools.The one main issue is the screws supplied were Phillips head which are easily removed. My suggestion is to purchase #6 our #8 X 1"" Torex screws or even better Snake Eye type screws then fill in the holes.Overall a great product to give reliable security.

easy to install not sure how secure it is
i have a soft-top convertible and i wanted to secure my valuables while at the beach, not all hardware fit as easy as it should.. but i did a work around and it is in place. if someone really wanted in . i am sure this would be easy to break into.

Great product
Got this cause I plan on making lots of trips to the beach in my jeep this summer and wanted to be able to lock up my wallet and any other things of value. It was easy to install put i did get security type screws that were a little longer to use instead of the screws that came with it just to make it a little harder to get into.

Sturdy, but supplied screws are way too short
I love the lock box, however the included screws it comes are the exact same length as the factory original screws. The console material thickness is 1/16" and the screws aren't long enough to actually engage their threads into the center console. I'll have to find other similar screws at the hardware store that are are at least 5/16" longer in order for the unit to even attach to the console properly and securely.

plate was good quality, however it was sent with regular screws that didnt fit. Would have been nice if security screws were included. Dont recommend this item, it can be removed with a phillip screw driver, so whats the purpose of calling it a lock box?

Installed in 6 minutes
Installed in 6 minutes....simple instructors but I do not know why instructions said 30 minutes to install. Factory screws in console a hair short and the screws that came with lid are useless. I had several around the house that worked fine. A good value.

Fits well, good added security for the Jeep. upgraded the screws to #8 one inch - stainless, metal screws as was suggested in earlier reviews

Pretty solid, screws are small.
Fits great, feels solid. Screws seemed small so i got lucky and found torx screws i got when taking off my bumper/splash guards, they are perfect since they are longer and more secure then the phillips screws they provided.

A bit flimsy and turns out not needed at all
I wanted something so I could secure items if I had the top down on my Jeep. After installing it in my center console I discovered I can lock my entire center console using my key.
