I have tried umpteen makes of wild bird seed. I am normally disappointed as there is often a great deal of waste as the birds will usually discard a large proportion of the seeds. I always buy no mess/no grow varieties in the hope that I will not end up with a mass of grass and/or weeds growing where the seeds fall. I am usually disappointed in this too. However, so far, I am pleased with this brand of seeds. I use a feeder with a tray attached so I can see at a glance how much seed is being discarded by the birds. I am pleased as there is very little waste with this seed. The birds appear to be eating the vast majority of it. I cannot comment as yet about the "no mess" aspect as I have only been using it in the winter so there is no growth at the moment. This feature will be tested in spring/summer. So far so good and I will buy this brand again.

Decided to change brand as my ususal order left a lot of waste. Birds didn't touch it for a couple of days (suspicious?) but then suddenly it started being eaten... fast! The ususal visitors love it and the food has also tempted lots of new bird species. Now I'm putting food out twice a day and there is very little waste left on the floor.

I like the fact that there is 'no grow' no husks etc so the birds only get the best bits and I do not have to keep clearing up the unwanted bits and weeding. I also like the fact that although I ordered 25 kg the product came in two separate bags which makes it much easier to store and handle. Also feel that by not getting the unwanted parts I get better value on the good bits so happy to pay the extra.

During this period of Lockdown and being over 70, we've taken care to stay at home but of course unable to buy food for the birds. So, I was delighted to order and receive promptly Gardener's Dream No Mess Seed that our birds seem to enjoy, judging by the way they continue to visit our home. Thank you for keeping our little feathered friends happy - their songs cheer our garden in these difficult times.

This seems to contain whole grains of corn.....birds quickly scoff it ! My squirrels are keen on it too.The food arrived in 2 bags,in a completely busted box,that had fallen apart.The bags were undamaged,and easy to handle.Would buy again.

So far, I’ve had it on a window box and the small birds haven’t touched it for 3 weeks.I put a few handfuls on a my plastic storage box in my back garden and ONLY the wood pigeons ate it. So, I threw handfuls of it on my front path and watched as a sparrow tried it and it simply wasn’t interested at all.A few other small birds did the same. I don’t know why but they won’t eat it. They just carried on looking for food on the freshly cut grass.It’s been about 3 weeks and I guess I’ll have to just feed the wood pigeons. I’m sure the rats would eat it if they got a chance.I’m really disappointed as I bought 2 x 12.5 kg bags and I’m not happy. I certainly wouldn’t buy again. Not sure what’s wrong with it and it makes me very weary of other reviews.Maybe it’s a bad batch - who knows?

Birds Enjoyed. Found went really quick. Too quick. Small bag not as economically as larger bags so although good have gone back to larger bags

So far so good, there isn’t much left over which is good as it means less mess. I guess the birds are quite happy with this seed mix which is great so will definitely buy again.
