Great little book for blossoming little (or young at heart) musicians. Easy to follow directions on soba that most of us have heard.

Bought this for my niece, and she really enjoys it because she's actually plating songs that she knows. I've tried other books with her before but this seems to be a great starter book!

I teach guitar for a living. There are many books that work for my older classes, but my 5th grade guitar class has always been a struggle. None of the books I've tried have been both easy enough fun enough for that age group. Up til now i've been writing out songs myself for them to use. I got this book today, and i'm looking through it, and I'm very excited with what i'm seeing. Next school year, I'm getting a classroom set of this book for sure. Young kids are usually not that hard to please - as long as the song is familiar to them and not too hard, they will usually enjoy it. For young students, it's all about just getting their fingers moving and helping them build coordination and strength while having a positive experience. The sight reading skills will come later.I will say, I did wish there was a simplified chords chart in the back. The chords in here are not difficult for most, but for small students it can take a few of months sometimes to be able to switch between full chords smoothly, so it would be nice to have a chart of 3 or 4 strings chords so they can jump right in. But that's not a big enough deal for me not to give this book a five star rating, because it's just what I needed. This author deserves a medal!

These are great for a beginner and someone with kids

I really like this book. I'm learning as an adult and this book is a really great beginners book. I started learning the guitar last month and got this book a couple weeks ago. I can definitely play all of the songs. Definitely a great book for beginners.

Finally! A guitar songbook for kids or total beginners that really is easy! Gives students lots and lots of practice with real chords, tabs and notes- perfect for teaching beginning guitar to children ( or anyone who doesn’t mind nursery rhymes). Thank you!!! Perfect!

Bought this for my grandson. He loves practicing the songs in the book.

Only reason I gave 4 stars is because it's a Christmas gift so I'm not sure about how easy it will be to follow. Bought this for my 6 yr old granddaughter to go with a guitar. Was trying to find a beginners book for kids, and this was closest I could find. It looks very easy to follow, but we'll see.

Its for children not a book for the Adult Guitar learner.

I'm an older person beginning the guitar. After using this book for less than a week, I had learnt all the chords in the book (about 15). It has the chords, tabs, notes and words in it. The book is obviously geared towards children learning the guitar as the songs are mainly children's but I found it brilliant. New chords are introduced every few songs so that you get used to playing one before moving onto the next. I would definitely recommend this to an absolute beginner like me.

I love the tabs in this book as im a new guitar player and recently I play 1 finger and 1 string songs, this book has helped me to follow on from that and it feels good knowing it sounds decent and I have only been playing a week or so.If you want to give children some good tunes, id say start here and expand.The reason why I did not rate 5 stars was because I'm left handed and was hoping to find a left handed tabs and chords.My Advice: For tab learning start slow and have a listen to some songs before attempting to play as your tab songs will heavily depend on how quick/slow you strum.Great product!

It's an excellent book for children starting learning the guitar.Contains many tunes that children will recognize which are transcribed in as easy way as possible for them.It shows both chords and melodies so a child can learn accompaniment for singing along or a melody played as a guitar solo.The book is simple but effective.You still need a guitar tutor though but this book can be a good resource for young beginners.
