Premium Earphone Cable for Shure SE215 SE315 SE425 SE535 SE846 Ultimate Ears UE900 (White)

I've gone through a couple of these replacement cables for my Shure SE215s. They are by far the most comfortable ones I've tried, and definitely the best bang for your buck. These flat cables fit comfortably and don't stiffen over time like others I've tried (including the 1st party Shure cables) that have the "memory wire" that hooks around your ears.The weak point with these has been the junction where the cable splits---on my first pair the lower cable pulled out of the casing, exposing a short length of the bare internal wires. I managed to stuff it back in and glued it in place, but it makes the construction feel flimsy and cheap compared to other cables that have a more robust mechanism in place where the cable splits. Fortunately I can go through 2 or 3 of these cables before hitting the price point of any alternatives out there.

Using these on the train as I write this review. Initially upon plugging them in there was no sound in the right ear but plugging and unplugging the jack a couple of times fixed that. I'm using these with shure 535s and they sound fine so far. Not as good as the stock cable but not bad either. Unlike the stock cable, they're very light and the flat noodle-like cord is great and wraps well around the back of my ear. I can't comment on the microphonics yet as I haven't walked too much with them. But just moving them around doesn't seem like they will be too loud.So far decent product for the price. A remote would've made it great.I will update the review after a few days with additional impressions.

These fit my old Shure SE215's just fine. They sort of flip over the ears every once and a while as the ends are not supported by formable-wire, but at the price, can't really complain. Flat cable is nice as it avoids tangles, and there is a collar that you can cinch up to keep the wires from really tangling up when in your pocket or bag. Ironically, I have found that not using the collar keeps these things less tangled than using the collar.These do not have any wire-rub noise like the over-engineered super sturdy cable that comes with Shure's these days. Sound quality is fine, no difference from stock cable.

This cable is great it is so light and doesn't pull against my ear at all so there is no problem with the cable pulling the headphones out of my ears even without the bendable loop on the stock cable. The only thing I don't like is that it is a little shorter than I would like, if it was 1.5m instead of 1.2 I think it would be perfect.

Seller is extremely helpful and sent out a new pair after mine were damaged in shipping. Responded back to me in less than 24 hours.I received my new cable in 2 days.------------------------------------------Got tired of my OEM Shure cables breaking in the same spot 4 times now in the past 3 years. Their weak point is where it sits on your ear.These cables look like they will not have that issue. Its a flat cable that has no discomfort with my glasses or wearing a snug hat when its cold out. They're very comfortable. Only time will tell if these hold up. I'll update my review if these break.

Be careful buyers this is not original equipment. Cable is shorter and does not have wire stiffener on distal end to conform to outside of your ear. Works fine but is made from less durable material. Keeping this cable as a back up but purchased original cable today for $27. You get what you pay for, this cable was not much of a bargain after all.

Like the build quality but I was not aware that these did not have a microphone or controller mechanism, they are just connector cables. That is OK but you can't use them with the phone in your pocket because there is no mike.

Just received it for two days. It works so far but the microphonic effect is so severe, it affects the listening experience a lot. You will not be able to wrap around your ears due to lack of the memory wires in the cable. The sound is ok, cannot compare it with $100 or higher cables but you are paying less than $20 for this cable. Loss of some detail and bass. If not using a high end DAP, you probably will not be able to notice the difference. Longevity has yet to be determined.
