Blood on the Mountain

Fair Handed Look at Coal
I learned so much from this documentary. A lot of topics covered. What stands out most is that no matter whether you're for or against coal (or like many somewhere in the middle), those without power, clout and control stand to suffer the most.

A Movie that depicts daily life for coal miners ans how Coal Companies lie, cheat and steal from Mountaineers
This is an excellent movie. Many times the people are of Appalachia, especially WV and eastern KY are unfairly treated like "hillbillies" and portrayed as stupid or dumb, this documentary didn't do that whatsoever. It depicted the people I know, good, kind people that empathize with the miners but realize there is something terribly wrong, even egregious and evil, with the way coal companies and operators have treated the people in these communities from the beginning. WV doesn't have representation, not at any level of Government and this documentary exposes that as well. Sen. Machine can talk the talk, but he has never walked in the shoes of miners or their families. I'm only disappointed this documentary didn't get an Oscar nomination. We feel forgotten, because unfortunately, we are.

Well done and heartbreaking. I wish there had been additional focus on Massey Energy's crimes. An unbelievably hard life, that of a miner.

Sad history
Friends of Coal may change their minds after watching. Greed at the expense of health and environment.

Very informational and loved the footage
Very informational and loved the footage. Really was surprised to see how things have not changed when it comes to the coal companies taking advantage of the people of West Virginia even today. Sad state of affairs.
