That's Me, Tzviki Green!

I bought this book when it first came out. I am a big Chaim Walder fan. I loved the book but loaned it to a "friend" who took off with it. I have tried in vain for several years to find a copy and finally found it!This is a great book. Walder writes in an easy to read but visually descriptive way. I found myself cheering for Tzviki when he succeeds and feeling the shame when he "fails". In the very dramatic parts, I found I could not put the book down. I know it is written for a younger audience but as with many of Walder's books, it crosses age and gender boundaries. It would even cross religious boundaries. The book has very definite Jewish themes and of course, Tzviki is an Orthodox Jewish boy and though I am Jewish, I feel certain anyone would enjoy this book as the character is so likable and his struggles so "human". We all can relate no matter our age, gender, place of residence or religion.I HIGHLY recommend this book....probably more than any other Walder book (and really, I recommend them all)

My almost 8 year old daughter tore through this book like a thriller. She had already read all of Chaim Walder's Kids' Speak books and had seen it advertised in one of those. The parts I read to her out loud were emotionally sophisticated for her age, but she loved it and was able to follow it emotionally. Highly recommended for your frum child who needs reading time.

This is one of my all-time favorite books. It was especially written for an Orthodox Jewish population. If your children are not Orthodox, some parts of the book might puzzle them.

As a teacher I read this book to my class as there are so many lessons they can learn from for life.

Ive read most of Mr. Walders books. All of them are beautiful! Ihave to say that this book is one of the best I've ever read. It is well written and expresses so much that anyone can learn from. I think he should write a sequel called"That's You, Tzviki Blue!"
