Pre-drilled mounting holes saved a lot of time and drill bits!

I added this to the rear of my Motorhome to protect any towed vehicle. The 16" length is just right for most applications. It is ruggedly made and looks nice when installed. Installation required two people and some planning. Be sure to fit the flap to the mounting bar before mounting the bar. Remove the flap, mount the bar and reattach the flap. You will have to ruse some power tools to install it.

I ordered it along with the stone guard, but later changed my mind. No problems with the bar, it was fine; I just changed my mind. However, when I started to return it, I learned that the shipping charges to send it back were nearly the same as the cost of the bar. I wound up just giving it to our maintenance man instead.

The first one got bent in half during shipping. Contacted the seller and they issued a refund without any issues. Ordered another one and it was perfect. As others have stated, it's just a 1 1/2" x 8ft antlers iron with a few holes drilled, but where else are you going to get an 8ft piece of angle iron shipped straight to your door?

This is the mounting bar for the Ultra Guard. You are paying for the convenience of have the holes pre-drilled and the bar pre=cut. For me it was worth it. I had no local source for an 8 foot long chunk of steel. I do recommend painting this after drilling whatever mounting holes you decide are needed. For the price it should have come powder coated!

The predrilled holes made it so easy. I bought the mounting angle iron from the same company. Takes 2 people or one person with a little enginuity, like me. Took about an hour including drilling my frame. Looks and works great.

It's worth buying the mounting bar. The mud flap mounting holes are pre-drilled and evenly spaced. In the event you need to trim the mud flap you can use the existing pre-drilled holes as a template to punch your new holes. I used a hollow punch.
