Bean likes it...your pup will, too!
When we adopted our 12 week-old pound puppy, Bean, we wanted to find solutions to distract and entertain her while we aren’t with her. My husband and I are both currently working from home, but we want to set boundaries so that when we leave the house, or DO return to work, she’s not completely devastated or suffering from separation anxiety. As such, she’s in her own comfortable little gated off area for a few hours each weekday. We ordered this ball the day after we brought her home and figured out how much she LOVES toys and is super food-motivated. We’ve had this for about a month now, so I feel like I can review it pretty fairly, at least for a puppy.Right now, she's about 16 weeks, and around 18 lbs, so she's still pretty little. We’ve found this puzzle ball is great for keeping her distracted and occupied! She gets a solid 30-45 minutes of entertainment from this. Loading it up is easy – we use a few kibbles of our older dog’s Blue Buffalo food, and it seems to be the perfect size to be jostled out with a bit of work, while not totally spilling. (We had experimented with her puppy food, and those kibbles were so tiny that they just spilled right out. The training treats we use are just a tad too big. The adult food is just right!) Other reviewers have commented about using a bottle, or poker to load the ball. We haven’t needed any of that. She gets excited when we give the loaded-up ball a little shake! She nudges and knocks it around, and even carries it around by the little orbiting belt. She’ll paw at it, and wobble it around. She’ll happily stretch out on her belly and hold it between her paws and just lick the openings. She can get enough treats out to keep her interested, but not so many that she empties it immediately…she has to work and be engaged to get the treats! She’s not a super chewer (as of writing this review, she still has most of her puppy teeth), and the rubber is pretty firm, so I can see this holding up for a while. We tried seeing if our 7 year-old Catahoula would be interested in this, as he happily shares his other toys and chewies with the puppy, but he just doesn’t seem to express any interest, so that tells me it totally depends on the dog and their personality, and doesn’t necessarily speak to the toy itself.I shared some pics to get a sense of the size. I tried getting a picture of Bean playing with it, but she's just a frenetic, happy little blur in every shot.I would recommend this to anyone looking to entertain their dog!

Keeps My Anxious Power Chewer Busy
We've only had this for a few days so I cannot attest to the long term durability, but so far it seems to be both engaging and durable. I have a Doberman who is highly energetic and and anxious and needs things to keep her busy while I work. The size is perfect for my large Doberman to play with and carry around. I have filled this toy with food, treats, and calming chews and she goes to town trying to get to the good stuff that's inside. The kibble and treats need to be on the medium side as smaller stuff just comes out within a few minutes and interest is soon lost. The rubber seems sturdy and so far my power chewer hasn't made so much as a dent in it (she has destroyed Kongs and many other so called durable toys for intense chewers). Hopefully this will stand the test of time and continue to keep her attention and interest.

He's having fun with it right now!
It's really sturdy, but my guy turns Kong's into confetti, so we'll see about that ring around the edge... But, it's got his full attention, and keeping him entertained. Quite often while I'm trying to work at my desk he cries and whines. He doesn't want anything, just my attention. He's a bit spoiled. I'm always looking for something new to entertain him. Something he can't destroy within an hour. This is working amazingly well. Highly recommend!*he’s had some time with it now, and he does love it and play with it a lot. He brings it to me for refills. :). But, he has chewed about half of the ring around it off now, and I’m sure that will continue until it’s gone. Luckily, he doesn’t eat it. He just leaves the chunks all over the floor. :/

Cute toy/food dispenser. Wish holes were adjustable.
This is a cute dog food/small treat dispenser. It is holding up to my super aggressive chewing Labrador so that is something fantastic in those regards. As for it being an interactive puzzle, not so much effort is needed since the food falls out really easy. She eats small kibble so that might be my issue since the holes are not adjustable. She loves this toy and looks for it after she has finished her bowl of food.

Very durable enrichment toy dog is fascinated by
This is my bloodhound's favorite toy. He chews it, nudges it with his nose to turn it end over end, and tosses it in the air so that it will bounce. I fill it with mid sized kibble, and it dispenses a piece or two not every time but frequently enough to keep him working at it. It is still holding up after 4 months of daily serious canine love. Highly recommend.

Big Girls need toys too!
I wish I could find a bigger one. I have an XL dog and it is hard at times to find XL toys. A lot of “stuffing” toys are a size and shape where I have to be concerned about choking...this one is not a concern. It’s shape makes it still safe for this XL girl to play with. It seems to be lasting this far regarding durability. It is flexible enough for treats to be pushed out. My big girl is a big chewer and I don’t get “hard plastic” to avoid injury to her teeth-this toy has been perfect so far. It is providing stimulation with out any risk of harm. With the exception of wishing it was bigger, I think this is a great investment!

Durable
I bought this for my son's young shepherd, who has powerful jaws in need of chewing. This toy has remained intact and with the powerful bite strength, this toy is pretty incredible. He's having a ton of fun with it and the worry of having pieces fall apart and ingested have been a non issue. Hopefully it will continue to last and last. Recommend for strong chewers but as always keep an eye on your dog with toys that could possibly break and be ingested.
