PHILIPSNorelco S9031/90 Series 9000 Electric Shaver Wet & Dry with SmartClick Beard Styler, V-Track Blade System & Multiple Indicators, Black, 3 Piece

I bought this for my FIL. He won’t shave with any other razor at 97! It gives him a smooth comfortable shave wet or dry without nicks or razor burn. It’s his 9th or 10th razor! I’ve tried the replacement heads and they aren’t worth it. I just get him a brand new razor and at his age, he deserves it!

I have been a Philips Norelco user for well over 40 years. My primary electric shaver was a model that had a charging / cleaning station. Although the charge lasts 2 - 3 weeks, not convenient for travel. I picked this Wet / Dry unit up because it has a simple charge cord that plugs into the heel of the shaver. A full charge provides over 3 weeks of everyday shaving / touch ups. The floating shaving head is fantastic and provides a very close shave. In my experience, the shaving heads last well over a year. The rotary blades are easy to clean and replaceable. This unit does not have a pop-up trimmer and I do miss that. I do not need the beard styler however switching heads is very easy. The shaver and cleaning brush are contained in a very compact travel case. If looking for a reliable, rechargeable shaver that provides a close shave as well as an extended charge, this shaver is highly recommended.

the first thing I notice when I use this shaver was the sound was 90% less sound than the old one I have. It is so easy to pull it of from the body for cleaning.I wash it with warm water after each used. Battery last longer,. I locked and turn it off after each use to make the life of the battery much longer. I'm recommending this shaver to my friends and relatives if they're looking to replace their old one. The cut is so smooth and clean. I hope this will help you. it is a good shaver.

I don't have a lot of beard. From lots of review guides, I bought this shaver and expecting it can be quite smoothier and easier to use than my S2000. I feel little difference comparing to S2000 in terms of performance and feelings. I guess it may help more with those having more beard. Overall, it's a good product, but not worth the price to my case.

I suffered for 3 years with a Braun because consumer reports rated it the best, and I wanted the best, and because I spent a lot of money on it. and because it is from the acclaimed "German genius for engineering"Those Germans must have squarer faces; it always missed patches of hair between the ear and jaw line. And it never felt comfortable in my hand. And the cleaning station was a pain in the ass and left residue.Yeah right, its supposed to be a review of the Norelco... The Norelco gives me a good comfortable shave, doesn't miss any patches or crevices. Rinsing it under water really does work to clean it out. When I take it apart to inspect after rinsing it is amazingly clean. The trimmer head works well on my sideburns. I worry that continuously pulling off the shave head is going to make the receiver loosen/fail early. I worried about switching to the new head style, as I had been an old school Norelco user in the 90s; the 9000 series heads are definitely a step forward in technology; they follow the contours of my face quite well.

It's everything I expected. Works great. Only time will tell how long the blades stay sharp.

Only thing that the trimmer is not built in like most Norelco shavers. There is an attachment that comes with it though.
