MapedHelix USA Maped Essentials Letter Opener (037400), Black/Silver

I now can open my mail with ease.

I got this product for my mother who is physically handicapped. She uses this product a lot and finds it quite helpful. The handle is big enough that she can hold on to it, but light enough that it's not too bulky. The blade is a little dull, but with letter openers, it's always a gamble. The handle is plastic, by the way. Not rubber.

just a simple letter opener that does the job I expected it to do. good price and good quality.

The only cool thing about this is the handle. The blade is extremely dull. You would probably get better results with a butter knife.

Let's face it, a letter opener isn't exactly as sophisticated as a Rolex. This one manages to do it's job. It's got a comfortable grip and effectively opens letters...enough said.

This Maped opener is too short and too dull. However, I ordered another letter opener that is the real deal:  Westcott KleenEarth Letter Opener with Microban Anti-Microbial Product Protection (14821)  My review there of the Westcott says it all. Don't bother with the Maped, it's a waste of money. The Westcott is the way to go.

this item does not make it easier to open envelop[es it should be sharper I would think it may be good to get it sharpened

I love this letter opener!It works great and does not have a dangerously pointy tip nor is the blade too thin, it is just right!
