Impressed that the size chart given for this particular garment was very useful and accurate .Do not use the Amazon chart but the chart forPaul Jones.The vest is well made . The buttonholes are stitched tightly so they won’t easily unravel. Buttons are typical for a man’s vest , I would prefer a flat button though.The dark gray is a rich color.Well suited as a unisex item…Not itchy, but of substantial weight.Priced competitively.

I've been learning more and more about the world of cable knit clothes. Specifically, that there are apparently several versions when it comes to the cable knit pattern. I've really fallen in love with the fisherman pattern, and this Paul Jones sweater vest has it! I also love the shade of red that this came in; a few of the other ones that I've tried buying off of Amazon in the past had less of a maroon shade and more of a bright red shade, which was a harder color to coordinate with the rest of my wardrobe.The fit out of the box is great, but that also is a cause for concern since I tend to like things a bit oversized, especially if it hasn't gone through the "post-wash" shrink. I'm about 6'0" (182cm) and 130ish pounds (58kg), and a L fit me perfectly pre-wash. Going forward though, if I wanted to buy more of these in the future, I would probably go another size up to an XL.There was a review or two about how the buttons arrived loose or coming off, but I didn't have that issue. I can see why that could be the case though; I tend to prefer the flatter buttons with the four little holes to loop the thread through since I feel like I can sew those more securely onto the clothes. These buttons are heavy and only have one loop in the back for the thread, so I can see how these buttons can start getting loose or falling off with repeated use. Overall though, I like what I'm seeing and would definitely recommend this for anyone in the market for sweater vests!

I am 5'9" and a slimmer 207lbs, large fit perfectly. I bought the burgundy, it is a deep dark shade, very nice. I plan to buy this same vest in other colors. You're getting designer quality at a reasonable price. So good that I am considering other Paul Jones items.

I now have three of these. I love the pattern as it has a Celtic/Irish feel. Material is real nice and the fit is good

The vest fits wells, though runs a bit big, so if you are a size M, I'll suggest you try out a size S, I initially purchased a size M and it was big, however, size S works perfect for me, the fabric is nice and fits perfectly.Will definitely recommend it to friends and family.Cheers.

It has a beautiful knit pattern and is cut around the neck and shoulders to look very sharp.I got this sweater vest because I get cold when wearing a suit, and I need a little more insulation. This feels good to wear, and I don't catch cold so easily.But it looks tight on me. I wear a "medium", and this sweater vest fits much tighter than my shirts of the same size. It must have been cut to show off someones physique. It doesn't feel constrictive, but you can see the fabric pull around the buttons.

The vest is well made and very vintage looking. It brings back fond memories !!!

I got this sweater vest as a Christmas gift for my husband. He was very happy with it! It looks great too.
