Nice Jean shorts. Fabric is good, pockets are actually useable. Pretty typical fit for Jean shorts. But, they do run a little small. I’m a solid size 14 but they were way too tight and I ended up with 16’s. They fit great right out of the dryer but stretch a little too much as the day goes on. By the end of the day they’re looser than I like. But for the price they’re decent.

Perfect fit and nice quality material. I still don't understand why women's front pockets are so tiny...wish it was deeper and back pockets do hold phone but they are kind of short depth too. But the comfort wins.

They fit me very well all over and have plenty of give and stretch. Very comfy and soft and I love the modest longer length as I am more mature woman.

I'll start with the positive points. For reference, I am 5'2" and weigh about 105 lbs. I usually wear a size 0 and ordered a 0. The quality of these shorts for the price is great, the length is accurate, and the waist fit fairly well. However, the fit in the seat and through the thighs is extremely baggy. These are also definitely high-rise and not mid-rise as the description states. The baggy fit and higher rise may work well for some figures, but not one me, so I had to return.

Look good and fit great

I recently lost weight due to a chronic illness and needed an entirely new wardrobe. I bought these shorts because my size (0) was on sale for just $7.40! I couldn’t resist and I’m glad I bought them! They fit PERFECTLY! I’ve seen other reviews that say they run small but not in my case. They’re comfy with just the right amount of stretch. I picked the mid denim color but I like them so well I’m going to get the other colors! I’m 119 lbs and 5’2” for reference (very muscular though which is where a lot of my weight comes from). Oh and I love that the pockets don’t have any bling or stitching so these can be dressed up or down. Just the right pair for every day wear!

They're mid-high-waisted and snug enough that they don't gape, and then they fit looser through the thighs. The shorts contain spandex and they're stretchy enough that I can move freely, without restriction - doing a full squat or a split in these shorts is no problem. I'm on the shorter side (5'3"ish) and this length fits almost like a Capri on me. The pockets are too small to hold my phone, but they'll hold my keys or a lip chap. I ordered the medium wash color and they're exactly as expected, they look the same in person as they do online.These are the perfect shorts for summer - they're easy and comfortable to throw on and wear, and they look great with a tshirt, tank top, or long sleeve shirt. I'm really happy with these shorts, and I'm sure there's more amazon essentials denim in my future. Good value!
