Musilia has proven to be one of the top quality cases, and continue to be the best selling case line in the USA. The Musilia S1 cello case is a great choice in terms of weight, stability, weather resistance and good price. A carbon fiber/Fiberglass hybrid, with an atractive interior, this model is durable and weighs only 8 lbs. The unique super suspension system adjusts easily to fit any full-sized instrument. All cases come with a shoulder strap and can hold two bows. A classy touch from Musilia is the pleasure of carrying this case thanks to the latches, handles, and simplified strap hardware- all designed to reduce noise. Shoulder handle already installed. No karabiners are needed for carrying the cello case on your shoulders.

Perfect.
This is the perfect case for everyday work and displacement with your cello. It just only weights 7.8lbs. (3.7Kgs.) I've had some years ago, a 100% carbon cello case, but I prefer much more this model, no so expensive as 100% carbon ones. The very little difference in weight it's just imperceptible.100% carbon fiber cases are excellent for isolating your cello from hits and falls, but they do not isolate so well from climate changes. From my experience I can tell you that if you leave a 100% carbon fiber case in a very sunny and humid day, in a hot environment, your instrument can dangerously sweat inside the case. This model S1, being a carbon fiber- fiberglass hybrid -and not just carbon fiber- it isolates in a much better way your instrument from drastic climate changes. Also protects very well you cello from falls and hits. My car is very small, and let me tell you that this case fits very wisely in your car's rear seat!! Very well designed. (Even though it's not recommended for being placed in an airplane bagage compartment. For this purpose, if you travel a lot and are not willing to pay an extra ticket for your cello, it would be very wise to purchase a special case for this purpose.)

Alright case, bad customer support.
I purchased this case several years ago from a local string shop (although mine was a periwinkle blue of some kind). It was light, and seemed sturdy. I still have it but it developed a number of problems very quickly, and as of now is unusable. The velcro neck strap is poorly constructed - it wore down very quickly and the pad attached fell off within a couple weeks. The upholstery inside the case also began to tear and separate from the shell very soon (within less than a year of owning). That being said, the outer shell of the case is very durable and has held up to a lot of travel and commuting.I understand Musilia has fixed a lot of the problems with this iteration of the S1 with their updated model, but I have contacted them numerous times over the last few years with absolutely no response on their end. The cases are decent quality, light and attractive, but don't expect any help from the company when your case begins to have problems.

So much promise, so little (if any) customer support. :(
I loved this case when I first got it. It's light and good-looking. My friend got a white one and I got the black one. We were happy for about 3 months, when the already weak velcro stopped working. Unlike other cello cases, the velcro was too small and didn't offer enough stickiness. This means our cellos don't stay held down in our case. They shake and we hear and feel them shake. We both feel the cases no longer offer enough protection for our dear cellos. I emailed Musilia to see if they have solutions. No reply. I emailed again, no reply. My friend emailed too. As you guessed, no reply. To add insult to injury, one of the latches on mine broke and I don't know how to replace it. It really sucks that a $1000+ case works so poorly only a few months after the purchase. Be warned, this case holds a lot of promise, but if anything goes wrong, don't expect any support from Musilia.
