A group of young urban offenders and their care workers embark on a community service weekend in the strange, remote Yorkshire village of Mortlake, which prides on keeping itself to itself. Visiting the local pub the Dirty Hole which serves suspiciously hairy pork scratching, they quickly realise they ve made the wrong holiday choice. When an incident with some local inbred youths rapidly escalates into a blood-soaked, deliriously warped nightmare, it s not a case of who will survive, but what will be left. This is a demented horror film with nowt taken out.

"Dearly loved and forever remembered."
The above words are from the last line in the end credits of the film and describe perfectly how I feel about this movie. I've read all the negative comments about the film simply not being scary and I can understand this; for one to be truly affected by a movie you have to make an effort to engross yourself in the events (gross being the operative word in this example). The movie is gruesome in all the ways you thought it would be but rarely disgusting. You should not watch this movie if you have a weak stomach. A new hope for the horror genre, indeed.

Kate carries the whole movie, good underrated B movie though.
I do my best to give credit to a horror movie where its due because I know they get a bad rap. This is a very underrated B movie, good quality overall id call it like a B+ or A- movie honestly. Some really good death scenes but honestly what im here to talk about is how absolutely perfect the casting for Kate was! That woman carried the entire movie on her shoulders and every single scene with her in it was a joy and shes honestly what I wish more horror movie characters were like. She made as many smart decisions as a horror movie would allow and was likeable all the way up until the very end. Id honestly say the movie itself is a 3.5 star maybe 4 but im giving it 5 stars because of Kate, great character and actor and hope her career goes well!

This is torture porn.
This movie is horrible. Problem number one is the music. The music was too loud and it was used far too often to create a "scary" atmosphere/ to build suspense. You can't rely on music to create the atmosphere or the scares. Problem number two is the editing/ special effects. There's one scene in particular that's the most obvious. When the guy gets shot twice and splits in half you can see that green screen was used. Third problem is the kills. A few were pretty good but the majority of them were laughably fake. Problem number four is the director/ executive producers/ the person responsible for the direction of the movie doesn't really know what genre it's going for. Dark comedy? Cheesy horror? Problem number five is the missing plot. I don't have to elaborate on that. Ultimately, in my opinion, it's torture porn. Killing people in supposedly gruesome deaths was the main purpose of this film. Plain and simple. Not saying there's anything wrong with that, just calling it what it is. Also, put the captions on because at times the accent is so thick you can't understand a word that's being said.

really warped, twisted, and bizarre
Wheewww! have to get some fresh air? After watching this british exploitation film, i must say that it is a totally off the wall, freaky, gore filled, totally insane film. every minute it gets even more weird, and you are bombarded with total insanity. It has a really bizarre storyline and is a cross between FILMS such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Two Thousand Maniacs, Friday the 13TH, and other horror classics. I even noticed a little Monty Python thrown in with the naked piano player. alot of gore and blood was in this movie, and it even made me a little squeamish. Found this little film really warped and surreal and think that this may become a cult classic. The 5 teens did a fantastic job with their acting, just wish the main guy and cute girlfriend could have made it out alive. I'm sure that this film could be watched... dont know if it would be approved by all... but it is a full fledged assault on your senses. Wonder if this film company will be making more likewise films, would be anxiously awaiting to see more of their future works.

More bloody than the preview
The previews looked pretty bloody but believe me the movie is worst. On the lighter side at 1:15:01 and again at 1:27:36 the only thing missing are "MAGA" Red hats.

Totally overrated and stupid
I love most British things but this wasn't one of them. I have to say that having legs and arms and heads flying everywhere is a really cheap sort of attempt at "horror" that I don't personally find remotely satisfying. I would advise this movie for those folks only.

A Though-Provoking, Intellectual Sort of Film
There's a line in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert that goes something like: "I don't know if the ugly fence of suburbia is there to keep us out or to keep them in."For anyone who thinks torture porn is associated with some sort of imbecility, that it is mutually exclusive with a finely orchestrated plot and a thought provoking use of thematics, this movie will make you think again, if you are able to think at all. Here come the spoilers. The very first scene is put there quite deliberately as a litmus test, even as a sort of courtesy. Anybody who hasn't already got the picture that this is not a film for the weak stomached will know soon enough: a posh couple enjoying some lemonade are axed in cold blood by a thirsty workingman. Not only does this indicate that the movie is going to bloody as all get up, it tells us that it's going to dig right in with a pointed metal hook at the exposed nerve that is the class situation of England. The scene we've witnessed is part of a film within a film, a gruesome dark comedy that inspires raucous laughter from some troubled city kids being taken by their social workers on a field trip to a rural, run down old Yorkshire mining town to experience a "different way of life." Presumably one more purifying and wholesome than the sort of urban cess pool that we assume these kids have grown up in.The social workers are Jeff, the one focused on fruitlessly teaching the kids all those pointless rules of good suburban life that not even good suburbanites follow, but which we still somehow feel obliged to foist upon our children generation after generation. And his colleague is Kate, a much more down-to-earth pragmatist, able to see things from the kids' point of view. Jeff is pretty soon established as the clown of the movie, and he's the first to get murdered, quite abruptly, beheaded with a meat cleaver.Do the filmmakers want us to cheer? Be disgusted? Thrilled? Outraged? To me the takeaway message is that it doesn't matter what the filmmakers think. It's what we think, what we bring to the movie. I'm quite certain that there are plenty of viewers who will watch the scene where two of the kids, Zed and Dwight, are mercilessly killed tortured and killed (one trampled by a horse, the other by having his stomach pumped literally to bursting with manure (!)) and laugh, cheer, exchange high fives right along with the crowd of inbred country folk, hateful toward the "civilized" outsiders. And if you cheer when bad-boy Dwight explodes, you'd be doing the exact same thing that Dwight did at the movie's outset when he was gleefully watching the posh couple get axed. This is what I mean when I say that the movie is fiendishly, almost symphonically arranged to put us in a position where there is no clear moral compass.Kate manages to escape, along with the two most endearing of the troubled kids, Tim and Sam. Their responses are all different. Sam is incapable of showing any sort of grace under fire. She weeps inconsolably through the whole ordeal (as, I suspect, would many of those armchair libertarian pseudo-intellectuals among us who smugly profess a social Darwinist creed of 'survival of the fittest; let the strong prevail and the weak be crushed). Kate quickly loses any inhibitions toward taking the lives of her enemies. And Tim keeps a (relatively) cool head, managing to plan what ought to be a very satisfying scheme to lure the inbred mob into a dark cellar and blow them all up.Who prevails? Who survives? Who do you want to survive? And what do your answers say about who you are. Because we spend our time and money on movies in order to discover who we are, who we want to be, and how we might get from the former to the latter. At least that's the way I see it.

Ee bah gum, this were reet good!
I'm big fan of Herschell Gordon Lewis' '2000 Maniacs' and its modern day remake '2001 Maniacs'. So when I heard there was a similar sort of film crossed with a 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' vibe, set in god's own country, I had to give it a try, and lad... were I not disappointed! Humour, creepy music effects, unsettling atmosphere and nasty deaths pulsating with GORE!. The acting is not bad and all the characters are likeable in their own way. I actually felt sorry for some of them prior to their impending dooms. As with most horror films, the antagonists steal the show and they steal it big time, especially Seamus O'Neill who was just a joy to watch and listen to when he was on. The gore itself was effective, if not cartoonish, but if you are a fan of Peter Jackson and his 'Braindead' and 'Bad Taste' films, you will enjoy the effects here. The ending was not something I was expecting, but it worked. All in all, I judge a Horror film on how memorable it is, and this one will stick with me for a very long time. This will NOT appeal to everyone (but what does?), but in my opinion, with the relentless "jump scares" and CGI-heavy films that are constantly being churned out, Hollywood should take notice... this is one of the best Horror films I've seen in a while.

This film should only be viewed in its full 98 min version.
This film is definitely one that I recommend for anyone who likes, gruesome and gory horror humor.I purchased the 3D version and it was everything that it stated. Great picture quality etc.The only problem is that it is totally unwatchable. At a running time of 94 min, it so badly edited, cut and sliced & diced, that the film makes no sense. I have even noticed a 90 min version of this film for sale and I am unable to imagine, just how bad that will be. One typical scene is a girl looking through a window (cut) next scene they are helping her get some glass out of her face (as I said gruesome). Talking through a door to some aggressors (cut) next, talking and there are two dead bodies on the grass outside. What eventually becomes to a couple of the victims caught by the Inbred, is anybody's guess? I have watched every season of the Evil Dead TV series, also numerous, horror films (comedy or not) and if they can be viewed uncut, I can only assume that the board of sensors, financially or otherwise. Did not get there Back side Kissed enough, to let this through. If you do purchase this film, do make sure that you get the full 98 min. I did, although the only place that I could get this was from a Canadian provider and I am very happy with the result. Not for the Squeamish and if any is expecting the Vet from Emmerdale (unable to recall the actors name. From a British soap opera) to be a pleasant homely chap, then they are in for a shock.

“... a British version of 2001 Maniacs.”
InbredDirected by Alex ChandonYear 2011Country Germany UKFour juvenile delinquents and two counselors drive out into the country to a town that doesn't appear on their GPS. One of the counselors, the socially awkward one one, offers the theory the GPS simply hasn't been updated yet. But it is on his old fashioned map. A small plot hole that's a foreshadowing of many plot holes to come both big and small. When they arrive at the rundown cottage they get to work. When the kids get rewarded with a trip to the local pup the locals turn out to be very peculiar. If your a fan of gore this movie won't leave you wanting. There's a mix of practical effects and CGI leaning just a little too much towards the CGI. But the kills are definitely well executed and entertaining except for maybe the main course. The gore is aimed to disgust but are infused with a good dose of humor too.The delinquents and their counselors have some cliché characteristics but in general manage to endear themselves to the audience. The same can't be said for the villains who were able to get on my nerves rather quickly. The theatrics surrounding the murders take too long taking the sting out of some of the gore. But it's with a hole riddled plot that the movie really starts to unravel. The blurbs on the cover compare the movie to Texas Chainsaw massacre but it's clear this is a British version of 2001 Maniacs. I guess that description would have been a bit too accurate. Unlike 2001 Maniacs which was basically a continuation of the civil war this movie doesn't have a clear plot to it. And whatever plot there is just doesn't make much sense if any.Inbred is definitely worth a watch but just how much you'll like it will depend on whether or not you're able to appreciate the villains of the movie. If your requirement is that every movie should have an intriguing plot, Inbred is probably not for you.--Steven--
