A New Old Tales Review
First of all I must warn the reader, this is a biased review, why? I am Tales fan. Since along time ago, since Phantasia and to date the games hace never disappointed me and this game is no exception. So lets begin with the Collectors Value: The Collectors edition like other previous Tales Of Collectors Edition does not fail, in fact Namco Bandai is usually very generous when it comes to collectors boxes and the prize is just right and worth every dolllar. To begin with you a blue ray with a full episode of the anime promotion it was released on Japan and in all honesty it gives an excellent entry to the series, is even a bit sad we did not get a full anime season for this. Then we are given a metal box with a music selections which is great music from Go Shina author of Tales of Legendia (Personal favorite Music of thre Tales Saga), Two 8 bit Key Chains and 3 Chibi characters! Now: If this is not enough you get a small hardcover artbook and he game of course all of it well packed into a box similar size to the one of Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. So it wont take too much space on your shelf. All in all as collectors item it is perfect in all senses! In fact it is overpacked. Now to the game: Zesteria was met with mixed reviews and with a good reason: It brings too little new things to the table yet this small details are worthy of praise yet not of reinventing or reinvigorating the series but truth be told have you heard the saying: That which is not broken why should you fix it? Well this game kind of falls into that category. The game follows the same old formula of end of the world scenario, deep character arc, awesome anime cut scenes, good character dialogue and sadly stereotype anime personalities (I put here sadly because even I can get bored of that) but it is what I signed for! Heck I might even be angry if I did not get that! When you buy now a Tales games you know what you are getting at and kind of you expect that too happen and some how the small mistakes or overlooks the game those I forgave them because I got what I wanted and it was presented, executed and delivered well. All though it goes without saying the game for the future requires to reinvigorate and change something. The new things are tweeks to the combat system which are quite welcomed, the amount of party members and dependency of a seraphs vs. humans and the idea of when encountering a character the battlefield remains as the world outside which I happily welcomed! I do not want to spoil the story as it is the reason we all play the Tales of game series and believe me you will not be disappointed or confused. My review and reason I have full score was that the game is actually quite good, awesome and brings some new details to the series. Yet I cannot say that if the next installment keeps the same formula we will be left as satisfied as this game. All in all an excellent addition to the saga and a great game to enjoy, play and even has that completion value of getting everything! I am still playing and I know I will reach the end of the main story arc.

Another "tales of" story to love...
Collector's box is numbered which is pretty cool. I am glad they included an outer plastic layer to protect the box itself like they did on the tales of symphonia box. The retro key chains/charms are so uniquely adorable. Steel case is really awesome resembling the celestial records in the game. Chibi kyun chara figures are cute as always. Also included are the selected music cd inside the steel case, DLCs inside the game box w/instruction manual, artbook, and the 30min bluray disk.I got mine in prestine and complete condition which is pretty awesome. This is a very cool addition to any "tales of" fan.Anyways, game wise, different from tales of xillia, zestiria resembles more of the classic "tales of" game in a 3d environment which i love. It has that same magical world adventure feeling unfolding before your very eyes theme which i love from older "tales of" series. Controls are very easy to learn and pretty much the same with some additions/changes on the battle system. Art/character model/BG is very nicely made. The BGM is superb as always and nostalgic fitting the series. Cut scenes are in beautiful animation. It is somehow good they included the japanese voices this time because the english dub sometimes feels off. Anyways, this is a very good nostalgic "tales of" game.

Missing content
I was very exited for this purchase to come and I open the box and it's missing the music cd which is very disappointing one of the things I wanted most from this so everyone who has bought this or wants to please make sure you have everything

Missing soundtrack CD
The game itself is great, and the set came in great condition, however, it came missing the special selection soundtrack CD. Very disappointed.

Tales of Zestiria Collector's Edition BUYERS BEWARE!!! (Updated)
UPDATED: On 11/25/15 1:52 pmSince my original review I have received my money back ($129.99) Allowed to keep the replacement and contacted Namco Bandai via email told them my situation. They kindly and quickly sent out my replacement soundtrack inside an additional steelbook case. If anyone has had such issues as I had with this product. PLEASE make sure you contact both Amazon and Bandai Namco and they should be able to help you out. It took me a few weeks to get it all taken care of but patience is a virtue so hang in there!!! I am bumping this review up 2 stars for the help I got, But still be aware that buying of this product you may not get all you pay for. Good luck and take care!I am giving this a 1 star review not because the game is bad but because the manufacturing is bad. i am posting this here so all can know my frustrations and hopefully through my story I can save you from the same troubles that I had. I have bought many Tales CE's I own the Xillia, Xillia 2, and the Symphonia Chronicals CE all bought on Amazon all came in perfect condition with all items as advertised but Tales of Zestiria???? Not so much. You see there is a known problem with this CE and that is that has a high chance of it coming without the soundtrack. If you looked at the picture on Amazon and other places it's being sold you will see a soundtrack shown next to the steel book case. The soundtrack is SUPPOSED to come packaged inside the steel book when you open it. But if you looked at all the one and two star reviews on here as well as all over the internet you would know this isn't always the case.My Story - I preordered this CE originally on July 8th 2015. I love Tales and Jrpg games so I had to get it. I waited for the game like everyone else but because I chose free shipping it didn't get here tell last Friday October 30th 2015. When I got my CE game I opened it up and noticed the steel book was scratched and paint chipped off on it which kinda sucked but when I opened it up I noticed the soundtrack was missing. I was so upset so I quickly called Amazon costumer support and spoke to a nice lady on the phone, I told her my problem she apologized for my trouble and said she would send me a replacement CE at no charge with free 2 day express shipping. I thanked her for her help and she told me once you get the replacement on Tuesday you should have no more troubles. Please call back and will set you up a UPS pickup for the original one so you won't be double charged.I told her ok thanked her again and got off the phone I waited all 3 long days for my replacement to get here and when it finally did get here today I quickly opened it up pulled out the steel book (which looked perfect compared to the one I originally got) looked inside and wouldn't ya know it NO SOUNDTRACK!!!! >_< At this point I was so frustrated so angry that not only did I get no soundtrack the first time but it happened 2 times in a row!!! Now I am here stuck with 2 CE for the same game and neither have everything that is supposed to be included. I decided to contact Namco Bandai costumer support and I talked to a lady who told me "we have been getting alot of feedback that the soundtracks are missing from this CE. From our stock< Amazon's and other retailers, We have no idea how many are without the soundtrack. the manufacturer in China must have packaged alot of them without including the soundtrack" When she told me this I was floored at how something like this was allowed to slip by and now it seems Namco Bandai is having to do damage control. She directed me to there support Email and that if I told them what happened I should be able to receive a replacement soundtrack from them directly. I sent the Email this evening and am waiting to hear back from them hopefully they will help me.So that's my story if you bought this CE like I did and are missing items you should contact Namco Bandai see if they can help you. Or try your luck at a replacement on Amazon if you wish though you might be better off getting your money back. But if you do want to keep the CE but just get what your missing here is Namco Bandai's support page I hope this helps anyone who take the time to read this. Good luck!!!! [...]

Really good buy for tales fans
I really wanted this so bad, and when i saw it on sale i had to get it! It even came in early of all things! that never happens where i live.first of all i love the tales series and seeing the last few CE's didn't come with too much I was astonished at how much came with this. i keep the key chains on my key set all the time, the figures i had to build and were kind of hard to do so but i didn't mind, it all turned out well at the end with some time. the anime dvd only comes with one episode but was masterfully done. I haven't heard the CD yet but i will soon. the game didn't come in the steel book but came in a regular ps4 game package and some cool cosmetic codes were inside! overall this product was a really good buy and i highly recommend any tales fan to buy this.

Amazing Collectors Edition!
I'd first like to thank Amazon's Customer Service, whom helped me greatly due to me receiving this extremely late because of an error. (: Secondly, this was definitely worth the money for a Tales fan. I was more shocked than anything to find the game to contain an instruction manual! Definitely a nice surprise, as digital manuals are what you usually get. Everything in this Collector's Edition is amazing, as well as the box art of the "collector's box". I'd highly recommend for any "Tales of" fan.

some issues...
Track 7 of the OST CD skips and the disc has scratches. Amazon sent me a replacement and its OST CD's track 7 also skips! I asked my friend who also owns the CE to check track 7 on his OST CD and it skips too. Additionally, Edna's umbrella for both my original and replacement orders were damaged. The pointy tip of the umbrella and the normin came off. I still really love it though because it came with super cool goodies. Overall, still worth it.
