Super Comfy
I recently purchased a pair of Regatta trainers from Amazon and I could not be happier with my purchase. They are lightweight, extremely comfortable, and have great shock absorption. The rubber sole is thick and grippy and has held up to the wear and tear of my daily routine. The lacing system makes it easy to adjust the fit to your own needs and the mesh and ripstop upper is breathable and allows my feet to stay cool even during vigorous exercise. I especially love the design which is very stylish and modern. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend the Regatta trainers to anyone looking for a comfortable, stylish trainer for all types of activities.

Early Review.....
This is an early review so I cannot speak to their long term comfort or durability but I can say that on initial trial they are very comfortable, very light weight, just like slippers. They are very snug however, I am a UK 9 and they are not so much tight but close fitting but as they're intended for fast and long walks this may be a good thing as there will be no slack inside. The padding around the ankles is very good, very comfortable.I have however discovered a downside; the laces are a nightmare to fasten and there's a reason: If you notice the photographs above and the design of the lace loopholes.....normal loopholes (holes in the leather) allow the laces to be gripped as they are being fed inside to outside and the grip being applied by the tension of being held fast to between feet and leather. These trainers differ as you can see, they weave the laces through loops that travel completely up the outside of the trainers and therefore are not gripped as they tighten....these means that constant tension is needed to keep the laces sufficiently tightened as you try to fasten them. Even the slightest release of this tension and the laces loosen immediately and are not held by the grip of the inside out action.I like these trainers so much in every other respect I have bought some non-slip laces to try.....if they don't work I'm afraid the trainers, good as they are might have to be returned......if takes three hours to fasten a pair of trainers to your liking, they are counterproductive.......sad!OK, a month in and the new grippy laces in place......and....they're still a right pain in the neck to fasten for the reasons I've highlighted above, I'll be wearing these till they're done but will not be buying anything with a similar design in lace loops, they're a bad, ill thought out design, clearly for made for looks as opposed to practicality.

Comfortable.
These shoes were comfortable. I ordered 2 for fit. One pair sent back. Second pair were damaged slightly but as I needed them for work straightaway, I had to keep them as the delay and expense in returning them would have left me without footwear in cold wet weather. After a few months, the damage was more apparent so when I left the job, the shoes went in the bin. I, personally, would not buy them again.

Have fallen apart after 6 months
I initially like the fit, the feel, the lightness. However they have completely fallen apart after just 6 months, the entire sole or bottom part of the trainer has come away from the rest. I'm very surprised at how quickly this happened after very normal use. I only really use them at the weekends for normal walking, I never run in them.

Needs addional inserts.
I do a lot of hiking along our local rocky coast line and I need shoes with good grip on wet slippery rocks. Despite claims, very few hiking shoes (and no boots) have such grips and my shoe of choice is limited to the Asics GEL-FujiTrabuco 7 or 8 (a truly excellent all-round shoe). However, when my present pair started to wear out, I was a bit tight for cash and I also could not find a pair that did not have one of those headache inducing garish colour schemes. So I looked around for something cheap as a stand-in that appeared to have a similar grip type until I could afford the Asics GEL-FujiTrabuco (and find one in a toned down colour scheme). After considerable searching I eventually came across Regatta's Men's Edgepoint. It was cheap, promised to be waterproof, and had similar looking grips to the Asics GEL-FujiTrabuco. So I took a chance on them. What I got was a mixed bag.On the plus side, the Regatta's Men's Edgepoint has a slightly superior water saturation point than the already excellent Asics GEL-FujiTrabuco and the grip, while not as good as the Asics GEL-FujiTrabuco, were not far inferior and streets ahead of almost everything else.On the downside, these are very uncomfortable shoes as every pebble and sharp rock edge can be felt through the soles as if you were walking in bare feet: Often a painful experience. Furthermore, after a couple of weeks it was clear that wearing the Regatta Men's Edgepoint was aggravating an old knee injury, demonstrating that these are shoes that will negatively impact the wearers physical leg/foot health. It was clear that they needed arch support inserts (and I don't typically suffer from arch issues) to be wearable. I purchased some inserts which transformed the shoes and, despite the additional cost, was well worth it. Anybody buying these shoes needs to buy arch supporting inserts for them.Typically in my experience, hiking shoes will last about six months before I need to think about replacing them. My old Asics GEL-FujiTrabuco well exceeded this time frame (I think I was using them more or less continuously for about a year). I have only had the Regatta Men's Edgepoint for six weeks so I can't comment too much on longevity, but, what I will say, is that the seams appear to be holding up well - possibly better than the Asics GEL-FujiTrabuco - but I am noticing what I consider to be higher than desirable wear on the grip surfaces and I suspect that they won't last the six months.Would I buy these shoes again? Possibly, but only if a similar situation arises where I can't afford or find my preferred shoe. Regatta Men's Edgepoint are an adequate cheap stand-in until I can get something better; nothing more.

Great shoe just needs an extra insole
Very comfortable over normal ground, but can feel the smallest stone through the sole so just needs another insole to get the best from them

Walking shoes with soft soles
Fit is good and they are comfortable to wear.Only problem is when you walk over stones, you can feel them. If I would have known, I would have taken a stronger sole
