Coupled with the front, these are excellent plastic rough-in boxes.
Worked great to rough in central vac when doing new work. It appears you can cut or break off the flange and use these in old work too. Has a gasket to seal nicely.

Good Quality
When I bought this the listing indicated that you could just snap off the bracket on the side if you don't need it. That is not the case... there are no tabs or anything that will permit that. You'll have to cut it off with a Dremel or a hacksaw or something. It's plastic so that shouldn't be hard though. In my case, I wound up needing the bracket for the job I had to do so everything worked out fine.

Not as pictured
Everything fine EXCEPT - the one received is not as pictured. There are two types of these brackets- one (as pictured) has a flange that is used in new construction and is perforated so that it can easily be bent/ broken off for existing wall installation. The one that arrived had the flange but no perforation. Not too big a deal to saw it off but if I had ordered a larger batch - PIA.....
