The card holder works great to prevent my card from being read until I want it to. My first problem with the reel was that the clip would sometimes slip off of the badge holder, which, if unnoticed, means that you lose your id badge. I fixed this issue by using a zip tie around the hook to prevent the holder from slipping off. My next problem was the reel's cord. The cord started fraying at the beginning of the reel. Overall, I like the idea of protecting my badge from being read accidentally or nefariously. I would give 5 stars, but for the issues I had with the reel.

Bought this when my other cheap plastic one snapped off of my lanyard. This is sturdy, lays flat and doesn't bounce when you walk. The extender is really helpful for getting in the door when your hands are full. The clip feature is nice. Means I don't have to take off my gloves and juggle other things in my hands to get in the door. Several employees asked where it was purchased when I got it. Makes that dash to get into the work door much easier in the morning. Can easily hold 2 ID cards and is waterproof too.

Cheaper than i thought it would be. It's a clipboard and it does not block RFID whether its open or closed. Don't waste your money.

I didn't have time to return the ID holder at the time, but when I placed my government ID in it and the spring loaded ID part snapped up or returned to the original position, the ID fell off on the floor. I tried it a couple of times and got the same result.

Works as advertised. I haven't broke it yet like the dozens of ones I have before after just a few weeks. I'm not sure if the RFID protection works as I have no way of testing it. But I will say it's very durable for the price.

The holder is not secure, it is still readable by the standard card readers in the closed (secure) position.

Anyone claiming this doesn't block rfid reads doesn't understand how rfid works and thinks you need metal on both sides to block it. This isn't true and this will absolutely block rfid scans. I suggest looking up a review by deviant olam to see a good test of this product's security.I use this daily and haven't had any issues with its durability(though I don't discount those who say they have.) Works great and keeps my credentials secure without any extra hassle.

Works well and the badge reel is handy to have at card reader locations.
