God of War: B is for Boy: An Illustrated Storybook

I pre-ordered this book ages ago after seeing a tweet by David Bowie’s son who said it was a ‘beautiful thing’. My book has finally arrived and it is indeed...a beautiful thing. Good, quality, quirky narrative and phenomenal, engaging illustrations by Ms.Tempest - an absolute must for any GoW fan. Not sure why some reviewers have said it’s not suitable for small children though?? It’s quite clearly a satirical narrative meant for much older children/teens/adults - pretty sure the Peppa Pig brigade are not the target audience!!! More like this please Sony...would be nice to have a collection...

Beautifully illustrated from the same artist who drew Santa Monica Studio's Christmas card. It's great to see the same art fleshed out in a book. It's wittily written with sharp dialogue. A charming book for any God of War fan.nb: In response to some reviews. It's not a kids book!! It's satire. It's an accompaniment to the game. God of War isn't a game for children. Why would this book be? Who would read "The Last of Us" graphic novels to pre schoolers?

Yes. It’s exactly how it looks. It’s essentially a children’s book telling a fun tale whilst learning the alphabet. For us UK peeps. There is one use of a B word in this book, and not one we would deem very family friendly. Please take caution before reading to younger children.

An amazing collection of wonderful illustrations with a playfully worded story as well. Don't make the silly mistake and think this is for children. I mean, why would you? The game isn't for kids either! If you're a fan of the original game, this is a nice collector's book to add to your shelves.

Really fun little book with some beautiful artwork. If your kids hang around watching you play games, then they'll love feeling part of the whole experience with this book.

Loved this! Hits all the best story beats from the game and the art throughout the book is so well drawn and captures the characters perfectly!

Maybe I have misunderstood the premise of this book?Although a spelling book for toddlers at first glance, as mentioned in other reviews this book does what in modern terms is considered swearing at one point, this doesn't really bother me so I purchased anyway but I was surprised seeing as it seems to be aimed towards children.The artwork is beautiful, the book is good quality and it's a nice bit of merch to have but this will end up as merchandise for the collection rather than a bed time story for the kid.

Great for kids, beautifully illustrated using themes from the popular video game series.

A super cute summary of an already amazing game! I love it!

Great collector’s item. I bought it with my son in mind when he was born, but similar to other reviews, there’s definitely content not appropriate for young kiddos. It now sits by my collector’s edition statue from GoW 2018 and I am sure my boys will appreciate this book as much as I do when they grow up and get older.

My son got a kick out of it since he’s watched me play the game so much he liked that the book was illustrated in a way that appeals to his age range.
