Scream Street is a --- Scream!
Started reading this series several months ago, and I'm really enjoying it! Nicely paced, clever plotline(s) and the illustrations are a plus! On book 4 now...lots more to go! Recommended, and with Halloween coming up...

As if being a werewolf wasn’t bad enough, now Luke has to live in a ...
When Luke’s family is whisked away to the mysterious Scream Street, Luke panics. Understandably so when Scream Street is inhabited by creatures such as vampires and mummies! As if being a werewolf wasn’t bad enough, now Luke has to live in a street full of dangerous creatures all the time and he’s not sure how his very human parents will cope. It’s not all doom and gloom though, Luke quickly makes friends with a deadly vampire and daring mummy and together, they try to find a way to get Luke and his parents back to the human world. A devious landlord is the only thing standing in their way and they’re about to fight back. This book has everything to excite a young child’s imagination and I was sucked in straight away! Luke and his friends make for quite the trio and their adventures were a whirlwind that swept you up, spun you round, and kept you going until it was over. I couldn’t put it down and I can’t wait to continue reading the series to find out what happens next.Fang of the Vampire is the perfect introduction to what I’m sure will be an edge-of-your-seat series!

A very fun adventurous read!
The first thing that drew me to this book was the cover. It looks fun and interesting and mildly terrifying too. Add in that intriguing synopsis and you might just see why I gave this book a try. I was very glad I did choose this book as I ended up really enjoying it. It was a quick read but it packed a real punch and I am now very excited to continue on with the series and see what other adventures these vibrant and lovely characters go on! If you’re looking for a book that is entertaining and fun, definitely give this book a read! This book starts in a really interesting way that grips you and makes you really curious. I thought it was brilliant and a fantastic way to start this book. The plot as a whole was so fascinating and I loved it so much. I really enjoyed the new town that the protagonist moves to and the friends that he makes along the way. The book is full of little twists and turns that make it fun and entertaining too, perfect for keeping the children interested in the storyline.I thought all of the characters in the story were really well thought-out and great to read about. I particularly liked Resus and Chloe. I thought they were wonderful characters to read. I also thought that the trio of characters worked really well together, especially as they’ve only just met! I loved all of the individual quirks to the characters and I am one hundred percent sure that children will love these characters as much as I had – especially Resus and his eccentricities and Chloe and her issues. All in all this book was a quick, fun, entertaining read that I very much enjoyed and know that a lot of children would really enjoy as well. It is a book that is full of imagination. There’s always something going on and it is full of twists and turns that you don’t see coming. I am very glad that I read this book and am very excited to continue the series and see what this incredible trio of characters get up to next! If you’re in the mood for something a little bit different, but which is still fun and a real page-turner, do make sure that you give this book a go!

Fabulously Funny, Gross and Icky.
This is an excellent story for 7-9 year olds. It's fabulously gross, icky and ever so slightly scary in a hilarious way. The kids are always in control and it is very funny so it's not going to give young readers nightmares.I have two children in this age range and it's just the type of humour and story they love. This book is full of kids outsmarting grown ups, friendship, flatulent goblins and slapstick humour. This first of a series has a great plot with the family being relocated by the other worldly 'movers' into a whole street of literally haunted houses with poltergeists a plenty. The poor normal parents are terrified by the friendly vampires next door, not to mention the zombies crawling unexpectedly out of the ground and skeleton dogs digging themselves into holes. The werewolf, mummy and almost vampire children are having the time of their lives on a great quest to bring together hidden magical objects while outsmarting the evil resident, Sir Sneer. They need to open the door back to the real world to save the poor normal parents before they are frightened to death. From an educational point of view there are some words that will stretch children (not too many to put them off reading though) and some wonderful descriptive sentences to fire their imaginations.Highly recommended to delight children who have been bored to death reading the usual books which come home in their reading wallets from school.

My 10 year old son rated this book with 5 stars
My 10 year old son was a late reader and is also quite reluctant so finding books to captivate him is quite a challenge. My son loved this book so much he read it each night and also took it to school with him to read at break times - very unusual for him!!I asked him what he liked about the book and his answer was plain and simple "the monsters..." he also said "when I am not reading it, I can still think in my head what might happen...."I think that he could relate to the characters in the book and what he found funny was the fact that the main character became a werewolf at the age of 10 and he only had a week to go until his 10th birthday.I will be buying him more of these books from the series and he is looking forward to the next installment already.

Good book
I found this to be very enjoyable to read. This is the first book of the series. I had not heard of it before until it was mentioned it was made into a TV show.It consists of paranormal creatures such as werewolves, vampires, mummys and many more. The only downside is the story goes a little fast, it could do with more detail, and the books are short (read in under 25 minutes on the kindle)Other then that, its a good book
