I’ve been looking for this for 6 years!
I haven’t received it yet so I’m hoping it’s not defective, too small, or rips. But I’ve watched 5 seasons on shark attacks on Disney and want to share why this repels sharks. I think this never became popular because of skepticism and style. I was also curious why wearing a contrasting bathing suit of black and white attracts sharks but this wetsuit repels. And also why wearing black wetsuits is standard and recommended when that is the color of a seal. It is because a black and white bathing suit highlights your skin while the zebra wetsuit disrupts your silhouette. There’s another wetsuit that is made by the same scientists that is blue camo. I cannot find it anywhere but if it were on the market it would sell like wild fire. I think a solid blue wetsuit would help more than a black one because you’re more likely to blend in with the water. It’s just like why skaters don’t wear helmets is because of style. This zebra design makes you look like a poisonous fish/snake which will make sharks less likely to attack by about 400%. So basically if you’re surfing with anyone else, they’ll more likely get attacked and you will have enough time to make it to safety. Shark attacks are very unpredictable and most people think that they use their nose for hunting. They mostly use their eyes when about to attack, but when visibility is down like in murky water they’ll more likely use their nose and this wont help very much. There’s also a new wetsuit called the shark stop wetsuit that is like armor against a bite. But it doesn’t stop an attack, just lowers the severity. That cost almost $1000. Theres also the shark shield ($500) which emits an electrical signal but has to be maintained and fixed which costs a lot more ($300 for a battery) I’ve also learned that sharks can adapt to it and learn to come by. I’m guessing most people who live by the ocean are rich enough to purchase all that stuff and keep it at such a high price. There’s also shark eye stickers ($5) and spray ($70) or whatever that is a lot cheaper. First time I went to Maine it cost $100 to rent a surfboard and wetsuit for 12 hours. So I found a surfboard online after my vacation for $30 and I already saved a bunch of money when I went down again. You can get wetsuits for $60 online too. I did not have a wetsuit and was pretty lucky to get this when I did for $215 because now it cost $350. I haven’t seen the second blue stripe design researched so that also draws skepticism. For how effective this has been shown, it’s really not worth $400 which is how much it was advertised for originally 8 years ago. And so little people have used them that we really don’t know the extent it will help with a real person. I think they don’t sell the zebra surfboards but they sell stickers to make it look like one.Update: medium it’s definitely my height but will not fit above waist or even through arms. I am average weight. I don’t think it would even fit if I was underweight because the arm hole is so small. There’s a large that is also my size but double the cost. I found camo ones for $60. And shark eyes for $15.

A really great deal on an excellent swimming wetsuit
I needed a wetsuit for a triathlon in a hurry and at a good price point. The men’s small of this wetsuit is currently just over a hundred. It was such a great deal! This is an extremely high quality wetsuit. The swim was in a bay called “shark park” and I did not at all mind the extra shark protection. I am 5’9” and 144 pounds, and I am a woman with a size 34c chest. The men’s small fits perfectly. I can close it myself no problem but I MUST use body glide in order to get it on and closed. I had to manually stretch out the calf regions with my hands in order for it to fit my legs properly. Other than that, it’s great and so so great for breast stroke because the legs are not so buoyant.

Great Wetsuit
Bought this wetsuit for a dive trip. Remember, these are meant to fit tight. I wear a medium bought for this wetsuit I bought an XL. Just like a spear fishing suit ... use a little water and soap before trying to put this on. Love this wetsuit so far!

Arena Carbon
