Best price vs performance on any knife you will find
I own many knives. I was formerly a distributer for several large knife makers. I have K-bar, Benchmade, Kershaw, SOG, Leatherman, and more and more. The Mora knives are the only ones where I own more than one of any certain model. The Mora knives also get used more than any of my other knives. Everyone should own a Mora.Lets start with this. This is not a 'partial tang' knife. Unlike many combat knives with a full length and width tang that can be seen all around the handle, the Mora's have a narrow, full-length tang that stops just shy of the base of the handle. It is roughly 1/4" wide. The term 'partial tang' means knives like the cheapo survival knives with the hollowed out handles, or similar knives with a tang that only goes 1/4 to 1/2 the length of the handle. The Mora's tang goes the entrie length. While it is narrower than many others, it still provides the strength required and prevents the breaking issues common with partial length tangs. The Mora's are heat treated well and hold a good edge. The Scandanavian grind for the blade is exceptionally well for Bushcrafting or survival where it will be used to craft of make items. This type of blade is generally considered best for survival and bushcraft uses. If you want to use your knife to open soup cans and stab car doors, you probably should get a different type of blade. Biggest benefit to the Scandi grind is the ease of sharpening, the amazing sharpness achievable, and its ability to be easily controlled while making precise cuts. This blade is Carbon Steel, so it will rust if not cared for. Carbon steel commonly holds an edge better, but if you dont want the rust issue, Id suggest purchasing the stainless steel version of this knive. Stainless is a little harder to sharpen but it wont rust (at least not as easily). The sheath for this Mora is slightly different than some of the others. It has a great 'clip on' feature allowing it to just be clipped over a belt or waistline of your pants. It does NOT have the swiveling feature found on the other Mora sheaths though. Mora seems to think its a 'one or the other' and doenst make their sheaths with the clip AND swivel. The sheath fits nicely and is secure. It is made from plastic.SO, if you can get over the ugly plastic handle, and the plastic sheath. This is actually one of the best outdoor knives you can buy. I own knives from $50 to $200, and I still wind up using my Mora's most of the time when Im camping or hiking. Theyre not as 'sexy' as the others but they just work so well I cant stop using them. The added benefit, if you lose, damage, or give away a knive that costs under $20, you wont be upset about it either. I currently own 6-8 Moras of various models. I usually wind up giving them to friends every time we camp or hike, as they try them and cant believe how nice they really are. If you read this far into this review, just buy the Mora, you wont be disapointed.

Great knife for the cost.
Just a great knife. This is my first Mora / Scandinavian ground knife and I was worried at first about the 2mm blade thickness. Upon receiving it and using it I can say it is a plenty sturdy little knife. It also came very, very, very sharp, and is incredibly easy to sharpen on a stone and return to its initial state. As this is non-stainless carbon steel, the blade acquires a nice little patina from slicing fruit and vegetables, which I like. This also means that if you're going to store it for a while you should oil the blade to prevent rust.A couple things about this specific model, as well. The sheath is great. It fits what I feared would be too wide a belt, and the blade snaps securely into the nice little plastic sheath. The textured rubber handle fits my average-sized palm well, and feels less cheap than I thought it would. These both count towards bonus points in my book. The one thing about it that I like the look of but not the feel is the unfinished spine of the blade. I appreciate the no-nonsense appeal of it, but it just doesn't feel right to put your finger on the rough spine. Doesn't affect my overall opinion of the blade, though.Unbeatable for its price point.

good utility knife
I've been using this knife for mushroom hunting and it has been a good performer. I did notice some rust when I left it on the dish rack to dry, so it is better to wipe it to avoid rust. The steel opposite the edge is unfinished and isn't flat. I may finish that with a file and some sandpaper to get a square edge. The edge is sharp and easy to re sharpen.

Kitchen Knife Relegation
I have had this knife for about a year. I mainly use it as a kitchen knife, since I still live in a dorm and don't need to create fires all too often. The plastic handle seems sturdy enough so far. The knife came pretty sharp and has remained so. This knife WILL have some sort of patina if you cut anything with acid with it (i.e., fruit, vegetables). The sheath is very BLAH looking, and it would be much better if the belt attachment wasn't just an extension of the actual sheath because this makes it extremely rigid on your hip. Unfortunately a few weeks ago my girlfriend used this knife on an advocado and put it back in its sheath without wiping it off. The next day I pull it out and it has brown rust ALL over it. This isn't all that surprising, but if you don't want an accident like that, get stainless steel please. I have too many complaints about this knife for it to be rated four stars, like I wanted to for the inexpensive price alone. But I've decided that I'm sure a smart feller such as yourself could find a comparably priced knife that has stainless steel, like a Cold Steel Finn Bear Polypropylene Handle (Cordura Sheath) . If you are using this only as a woodscraft knife, I think it would be very adequate for the job if you wiped it whenever it got wet. I still dislike the sheath though. I think this knife is an affordable knife that deserves recognition, but you can find other knifes for your needs. This knife is very over-hyped on many knife forums. Not to say it isn't a good knife, but a lot of people make it seem like it's the only good option for an inexpensive knife.

Arrivato in giorno in anticipo, fantastico!
