We bought this to overcome larger birds and cat eating the mealworms that we leave on the bird table.We suspend this feeder from a hooked pole. As the height of the clear plastic roof can be adjusted we can limit the size of birds coming to the feeder so we have set it for Robin's and tits. This set height keeps the pigeons, magpies and squirrels away.

After our resident vermin of the trees broke another similar feeder, we thought we would get this as it was slightly cheaper. Setup was fairly simple although there were no instructions. It worked just as well as the previous one but there seems to be one squirrel who is the master bird food thief!The only issue we have is that the baffle is not very wide so you can't reduce the gap too small otherwise some birds, particularly the Robins, struggle to get in. It has been visited by magpies and a woodpecker and the mesh on the basket is fine enough for it to hold bird seeds as well. Not bad for the price and I would recommend.

Definitely not squirrel proof he comes daily to feed at least don't chew my other feeders now 😄

The item arrived wrapped in thin black cling film wrapping. I could hear the contents rattling. When I opened the box it found that the canopy was broken in two, not surprising as there was absolutely no protective padding inside it, as you can see from the photo. The canopy itself is flimsy, quite unlike the one I've had for the past few years, so I don't know how long it would last anyway. I would definitely not recommend it. The only thing to be said for it was that the returns process was simple.

The unit does what it is supposed to do, and is easy to assemble. The fiddly bit is refilling, as to do so the cowl has at least to be raised, possibly removed each time.

This is the second one I have bought and just as with the first one, the squirrels knocked it to the ground within a couple of days. Like the first one, the plastic cracked on first fall even though it fell onto grass. Like with the first one I owned, I guess it is now a feeder without an rain cover.
