Let me start with I have a Rottweiler. Do you know what having a Rottweiler entails? Large poo! Very large poo!When I got my beast 3 years ago, I received another brand of XL poo bags. Let's just say they were the Rolls-Royce of poo bags with a Rolls-Royce price tag.Because I, once upon a time, I bought those box store bags that fit in those cute little carriers and you got like 1000 for $10 (based on price, you can tell that was a long time ago). They did their purpose but I actually would put on a rubber glove first because 40% of the time, my little hands would poke a hole and I would need multiple bags for the size of the poo.After spending Rolls-Royce prices for bags that are marketed to municipalities or State Parks, my pocketbook told me I need to find an alternative. HOUNDSCOOP had been popping up in my recommendations for the past year or so and I have never been happier.The plastic is thinner than the Rolls-Royce brand but WAY more durable than the box stores. I can fit my entire hand in and scoop up the dirty deed in one bag. To be honest, it is thick enough plastic to not feel the "warmth", which grosses me out.I have shelving in my garage and I use zip ties to tie the bundle to the shelf close to her "potty spot". HOUNDSCOOP thought the design pretty well and put a plastic clear strip to grab and pull with one finger. Now I did read a review that someone did not like how the plastic stuck together and was hard to open without locking their finger. It is the exact same difficulty was a grocery store plastic bag at the self check out line. If that is the biggest gripe, not a big deal for me. As long as I don't touch poo, I am OK.

I walk three dogs. Total combined weight of 170 pounds. Those little puny bags are not really up to the job. They're just not big enough or strong enough. These Houndscoop bags ARE big enough and plenty thick and strong. Also odor free which is nice because I keep a supply in my SUV.

If I could get the darned things open without having to lick my fingers, they would get a 5 Star rating! But unless I get those little rubber fingers used by clerical workers of years past, I still have to moisten my fingers.They are THICK. They are BIG. I have a 72-pound Standard Poodle who can use two of the wimpy bags and only one of these. We have 4 Standard poodles and we use these for picking up poop in our kennel area and can pick up multiple in one bag. I leave several "opened" on the self on the way to the kennel area so I don't have to lick my fingers to open them. My husband made a perfect holder for our deck for picking up random poops in the yard. They are a great price and a great value for us.

I live in a neighborhood with several pet waste stations and I order these bags in bulk for the neighborhood. They are large, sturdy and pull out of the station easily. Very happy with this product.

I really like the value, sturdiness and roomy size of these bags. However, they are very hard to open and they don't indicate which end is the open side to help you out. This is a disadvantage when you have to hurry or there are multiple dogs around and you need to hold your leash tight and focus on picking up poo. But the size, is awesome and the strength is unbeatable.

Our HOA has three receptacles around the perimeter. Thanks to these bags our grounds are kept clean of dog poop. The cans are full every week
