Simple, inexpensive, and works great,
I am using this to run individual drip lines to four large pots of tomato plants. Works great. There is a very small drip coming from the center of the manifold, but this is not an issue for my outdoor application. I am very happy with this item. One comment on setting it up. I wanted to attach this directly to the end of a garden hose. But the female connector on this manifold (1/2 inch) is not the same size as a standard garden hose (3/4 inch). So I bought this adapter. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087GKPMVG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1. Works great. It’s only mid-June here in Boston, but my tomatoes look really great.

Effective and easy to install
I needed an extension to reach another part of the plant with this piece I was able to do it. I will be ordering more for my other plants

Works Fine but Take Care When Installing
Works perfectly for my system, connecting two 1/4-inch ID irrigation lines to my watering circuit. The 1/4-inch irrigation line ports (barbs) hold my irrigation lines securely. There are no leaks even with full home water pressure and most irrigation bubblers on those lines turned off. However, I take one star off for a design flaw that caused me to change the way I installed the part. I did not use the enclosed gasket/filter basket. Two reasons: First, my system is already protected by a filter upstream (before the irrigation timer), so I didn't need redundant protection in this connection. More importantly, quick inspection reveals the enclosed cage if installed would be resting directly on the tiny tabs that retain the 1/4-inch ports in place. If you tighten everything down, it seems obvious the pipe being screwed into the cage/gasket would put a lot of force on the back of those ports -- in effect trying to push them out from the back out of the housing. (The tabs holding those ports in place are only plastic and they are small -- almost certainly the weakest part of the overall structure.) I imagine this is the cause of some leaks and breaks reported in other reviews. Instead of using the gasket/basket, I left it out and used PFTE plumber's tape to seal the fitting threads; then I did not need to tighten the pipes down so hard that the connector put pressure on the back of the ports. As installed (minus basket, plus PFTE tape), the ports are firmly in place, everything works well, and no leaks.I will write back to update this review if any problems develop in the next year, but I believe that avoiding use of a gasket seal and instead using plumber's tape likely eliminated the mechanical torque on the internal components that could otherwise cause premature failure.

For my drip system
Did not fit the regular garden hose. I should have read the description and not look at the picture. I was expecting that this will fit a garden hose or the faucet but I was wrong. I did not want to return it coz I might use it later on.

Individual port adjustments simplified (8 port heads)
There seems to be a common complaint about the adjustment screws being easy to break or otherwise difficult to use. I have solved that problem! A 3/32” Allen wrench fits inside the fitting exactly. No screwdriver ever needed. Screwdriver blades slip off easily and because the plastic is black it is hard to see to get the blade in the right place. I bought a 3/32” T-handle Allen wrench from Amazon for $1.62. Just search for 3/32 Allen wrench T-handle. It’s 12 inches long so really convenient to make adjustments. I have a dozen of these 8 port heads so this method is a major league convenience for me. All of my backyard drip irrigation is now above ground. No more digging and kneeling to make repairs. I love Orbit products. Photos added. The first one shows the 3/32 long handle Allen wrench from Eklind product code 51906. Available on Amazon for $1.62. The second photo shows a Dremel 3/16" pear shaped carbide grinding stone.. Also available from Amazon in a two pack for $4.95. The numerical product code is 84922. I have great difficulty slipping 1/4" tubing over the little green elbows on the 8 port manifold. I use this item to ream out the inside of the tubing slightly and it is just enough to make the connection much easier but still secure enough to stay in place.
