I did a workshop and used these 7 needle felting tools. They were a little tricky keeping them unlocked but with a little twisting things came together and they stayed unlocked. I had 9 people using these tools and not one needle broke. Everyone was a beginner felter. I will order these again.

Overall the product works OK. The needle guard does not stay in the unlock position while you are using it and therefore it comes down over the needles while you are using it. This becomes frustrating quickly. Taping it in the unlocked position has helped.

GREAT for softening OR firming up the surface of any Needle Felting creation - my daughter uses this as a tool for all her felting projects. Beware, it’s a lot of needles that easily pierce skin (mom needed to be lectured numerous times by teen daughter and just kept repeating the painful mistake of holding it wrong!) and leather finger protection is recommended. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR YOUNG CRAFTERS.
