All the Hits and All New Love Songs: Greatest Hits

I just felt that I had to correct an earlier review. The sleeve notes clearly state that the versions of " Ruby Don`t Take Your Love To Town " and " Something`s Burning " were both recorded in 1977. As "Ruby" peaked at no.2 in the U.K. singles chart in December 1969& January 1970 and "Something`s Burning" was a top ten hit in April 1970 with The First Edition the later versions on this C.D. can hardly be called originals. Not that there is anything wrong with the splendid recordings on this particular C.D. However for purists who must have the original versions you will have to buy a Kenny Rogers and The First Edition C.D.( several of which can be found on Amazon ) but which of course do not contain the superb solo hits. This is a 2 C.D. set,the first C.D. has all the hits ( 20 tracks ) and C.D.2 is the album " After Dark " ( 18 tracks )

Purchased as a gift end of November/ start December. As import CD didn’t think about the cost. When prompted with email to ‘buy again’I did click the link only to find it was pennies short of £10 pound cheaper. Disappointed that prices can vary so much in such a short space of time however brilliant CD - worth purchasing especially at the new low cost!!

Wanted a particular track by Kenny Rogers which only appeared on this CD, bought for my 89 year Dad and he loves it!

Kenny Rogers fabulous dulcet tone is heart-warming must be one of the best country singers of all time, all his hits are on this album and a delight to listen to every one of them.

Hard to find album but out of this world.

Excellent value for money and makes good listening; CD1 is my favourite; CD 2 is a bonus. Try it for yourself.

Good album. I bought it just for a handful of classic songs. Some of the recordings are not very good, some songs are quieter than others.
