ABC News Classics The Death of Princess Diana

This is an excellent report of the death of Princess Diana. It makes no judgements, it states facts. I'd recommend this to anyone. I just wish it was a little longer and gave more details! I bought this as a set with the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Good service and not a bad price either. Well satisfied with price as well as quality of merchandise. They produced what they promised.

So disappointing. The ABC coverage of Diana's funeral in 1997 left me deeply upset. None of the music was played, including Elton John's tribute. They also left our the entry into the Abby as well as the solumn departure out of the Abbey.And so much more. I woke up at 2:30am to watch the funeral live from London and remember the long procession, the removal of the casket by the guards, the silence as they carried her down the hallowed aisle of the Abbey and I remember the music, the Requiem being played as the guards carried her out of the Abbey.But, what I remember most was the click, click, click of the quard's boots hitting the floor in equal tempo as they slowly and reverently carried her out of the Abbey.ABC News should be ashamed of their sliced up version for this dvd. They concentrated more on the paparazzi's role, on the accident and it's contributing factors and on other topics that had already been discussed.In fact, Barbara Walters got exactly 10 seconds of coverage!!Truly a sham of a job. If my team had put this together, l would expect to be fired on the spot for such a shabby production!!!!!

The quality of the reporting is clear and very informative. However, this disc gives only the three main speeches made at the ceremony and little of the ceremony itself. It includes none of the music, neither choral or soloists like Elton John. Thus, I found it to be a good summary of the event but not the event itself.

I liked the presentation of this event. Basically a video of the news on that day. Not bad.

...it misses a lot too. There is of course the ABC "Special Report" segments but nothing about Prince Charles's journey to Paris to bring his ex-wife's body home. They've included the highlights of the funeral service but left out all of the music, which I remember as being very moving and they end without showing the hearse being showered with flowers. It just seemed they could have included more clips for the price of the DVD.
