Cholesterol buster!
I wasn’t sure whether taking red yeast rice would affect my cholesterol. Well, it successfully lowered it below 200. Check with your doctor first, but in my opinion, its a good alternatives to prescription statins.

It is working for me.
I started taking this over a year ago. I just had my yearly physical and can tell you it works. In the last year my lifestyle has changed for the worse, less exercise and worse diet plus I'm bad at taking pills I average 2 pills a day about 5 days a week and still my cholesterol is 32 points lower. My cholesterol has been steadily creeping up for the last few years and this is the first real drop I'v had in total cholesterol ever. Now that I know it really works I'm going to try harder to take them every day plus it says you can take up to 4 pills a day, I only take 2 so I am going to do that as well to see how much lower I can get it.One of the possible side effects is headaches and for the first 5 or 6 weeks of taking it I got headaches about 3 maybe 4 days a week, not bad ones but most of the time I still had to take an aspirin to get rid of it. But now no more headaches and lower cholesterol without taking Lipitor or other prescription drugs.

Makes a big difference if you take the RED RICE YEAST and spit out the burger
Back in February I had my physical and shortly after that I got a call to come back in to discuss my blood test results. Nuts! My cholesterol has been rising for the last 2 years, from 205 total to 299 as of this last check. My doc said this is my body doing it and not my lifestyle, now since my 205 count 2 years ago I have stopped drinking and eating at the quick places in hopes of lowering the numbers and not take any meds. Well after the 299 in Feb I thought "screw it" bacon and Lipitor here I come. Of course my doctor is selling me these drugs like I'm buying a new car ( him a car). My wife and I decided to really put some effort into changing things one last time. I had heard about Red Rice Yeast with CQ-10 and found on the internet so many mixed things about all of it I really didn't know what to do. I ordered a bottle of this stuff and it said to take a hand full of these pills before each meal which seemed a little much ( 3-4 pills each meal is allot) so I started with taking 1 pill before dinnertime to see if I felt anything because it is a statin I'm told. Along with this I think the biggest change is my eating habits, red meat 2 times a week, usually a big ole steak and fish 3 times a week and chicken till I puke. Lunch is uneventful with lots of veg, fruits and nuts. I find myself eating more frequently and sometimes not content the way I would after a big burger. No more processed foods which has been a challenge and it does take a little more time and planning for meals, however I received a call from my doctor today. I had another recheck last week and he assured me that nothing I could do would lower my numbers enough to prevent medical intervention and I ought to just forgo the test and take Lipitor. As much as I pay for insurance I said " Do the test". He said in his 15 years he had only had 2 people lower the numbers all by themselves. SUCK IT DOC from 299 to 201 in 4 months! I am one happy MO FO. He was very impressed and asked for more details about this change, he poo poo'd Red Rice Yeast and that's fine. My weight is from 227 to 218 and blood pressure from 134 to 128. I can't say that the red rice yeast made such a dramatic change by itself but I can tell you that food is fuel and the better the fuel the better the engine runs. I believe a combination of both can yield very positive results, I also have much higher energy levels and sleep much better just to name a few noticeable differences. I will continue my course and wait to see were my numbers end up. I don't know the exact numbers of the test, but who cares. I don't need prescription drugs and that great, Thanks NOW

more potent than nature way, almost the strength of statins in my experience
this product is potent. i say this because i'm of the rare few that cannot handle pharmaceutical statins such as atorvastatin. statins cause my muscles to ache and break down to a point it crimples me. for the lucky many that don't understand what happens, imagine straining your your muscles lifting to the point of total failure. now imagine your body NEVER repairing itself and you remain crimpled. that is what statin does to me and the unlucky few. health wise im a 33 year old guy that is lean, muscular athletic, goes to gym frequently, eats very healthy, into extreme adrenaline sports, and normally very strong. but genetically my LDL is very high around 234, and my HDL isn't at around 45. without needing to explain my diet, it can definitely say i eat a proper nutritional diet; not much red meats, plenty of fish and vegetables, organics, etc. i have tried another similar brand with the name of nature way for RYR, it's not as potent as NOW but my body seemed to accept it with only 1 pill per day. RYR shares similarity to lovastatin. but RYR differs in concentration between brands. so i will have to say NOW brand is potent because my body is mildly reacting to this brand the same was atorvastatin did to me when i was prescribed a heavy 40mg daily dose. i cannot handle this brand NOW at 1 pill per day; i take it every other day or 2 days. with that said, it's not to scare anyone off, but it's to say their supplement is more refined. i hope for the best experience for everyone.

So far so good, Lowered Cholesterol...
I started taking this in early march in an attempt to lower my cholesterol. My numbers at this time were as follows:Total: 230Triglycerides: 58HDL: 55VDL: 12LDL: 163Ratio: 3.0On April 10th I had my retest and the results are as follows:Total: 198Triglycerides: 37HDL: 66VLDL: 7LDL: 125Ratio: 1.9As you can see in this brief period my bad cholesterol has been significantly reduced and I have had no side affects that I know of. My rise in HDL cholesterol could be contributed to the addition of ground chia seeds, pure cocoa powder and flax seed oil to my protein shakes, as well as taking Cod Liver Oil supplements, but either way this product had a huge part in helping my cholesterol levels! Other than this, my diet has been exactly the same, and I have always been an active person, running and lifting weights 3-4 times a week. I'll continue to take and monitor from now on!! I have been taking 2/day, one after breakfast/lunch and one after dinner.**UPDATE**July 9th ResultsTotal: 193Triglycerides: 56HDL: 59VLDL: 11LDL: 123Ratio: 2.1It seems as though my levels are now remaining constant, with my LDL still a little high. I'll continue to monitor and update as necessary.
