LifemaxSolar Powered Waterproof Window Thermometer for Indoors or Outdoors

This thermometer seems okay if you want the indoor temperature. I purchased this because I thought it would read the outdoor temperature. The problem is that the suction cup is on the wrong side of the unit. Instead of being on the front where I could stick it the the exterior of the window, its on the back where the solar panel is. I tried to modify the unit by flipping it inside the case, but it caused it not to fit properly inside the case; I cannot gain access to the buttons on the front, and the "weatherproofing" is compromised. If you want the indoor temperature, then this may be okay for you, but being close to the window will affect its accuracy.

I attached this thermometer to the outside of my window, and it stays right where you put it. I moistened the suction cup first and made sure the window glass was clean. It's between the glass and the bug screen, so I won't lose it, if it comes off. It gives clear, accurate readings of the temperature. It also give you the high and low temps for the last 24 hours. It's small enough to not be in the way when looking out, and handy when you need the temperature outside. The solar power is on the back side of the device, always exposed to the light.

If you want an indoor thermometer that reads the temperature in the room right next to a glass window, this is your product. If you want, as I did, an outdoor thermometer that you can affix, with a suction cup, to the outside of the window, don't buy this.

I bought this for the outside pool very small not what I expected

a little plastic suction cup , which is meant to hold onto the window glass, eventually lost its grip on my previous one of these.A rubber sucker might have been longer-lasting.Anyway the one it replaces has been some years in use,being repeatedly knocked to the ground by window cleaners. Finallyit went blank.While awaiting this replacement I took the old one apart and got it going again! partially anyway.Unfortunately the two do not agree on the temperature, being maybe 4 degrees difference between each other.

I’ve had one for several years and it always worked perfectly. It shows max min & actual temperatures accurately. I’ve placed it on a north facing window and it is easy to fix. My window cleaner came, removed it & did not replace it, and it fell into a pool of water. It is not waterproof to that extent so stopped working! The disadvantages I’ve found is that it becomes non readable in the dark, the display may be rather small for some and it is not the cheapest. Despite small imperfections, I would recommend it.

I wanted a outdoor thermometer to show me the outside temperature when I am inside that wont fall off the window eventually due to cheap suction cups. This is a great little gadget and has stayed firmly attached to my window for some time now. The only negative is that once its dark outside you cannot read the LED, not such a problem for me as I rarely go out after dark. I have discovered however that if I shine a torch at it, at an angle, I can then see the LED reading of the temperature.

Ordered this to use outside as the information in the listing stated that you could use indoors or outdoors however the instructions included with item states "Indoor use only". The item details in the listing are very ambiguous but certainly cannot be used outdoors.

Functional but had to put white tape on the back to see the numbers, but works well
