I've Got a Turquoise Switch that Switches!
I got these controllers to loan to my brother because he started experiencing "joycon drift" on his original Nintendo controllers just after Animal Crossing had come out (which also coincided with Nintendo closing all of their repair centers- so he can't get his fixed). Below I've combined both of our experiences testing these out between our own game collections. He'll be using them as his primary Joycons until after the crisis is over and then they're all mine!Ultimately these replacement joycons are for me, and I chose the color accordingly (cyan!!!). I had always wanted a turquoise Switch Lite but the compromises between the Lite and the original Switch were too numerous for me to get one. These cyan (turquoise/light teal) controllers are the perfect compromise for me aesthetically! I'm super happy with how they look.Neither my brother nor I had any difficulty pairing these to our consoles. Just pop them onto the Switch and they register. The console even recognizes the joycon color correctly in the controller panel, which is really cool as they're a cyan/turquoise/teal color.Very comfortable to use in handheld mode and wireless mode, these controllers have a unique shape that fills the palm more comfortably than the Nintendo ones. The Home button "wake" function seems to work fine when the console is docked. The only thing that seems to differ is you have to hold down the home button with these versus just clicking it once or twice.Motion controls work as expected. Since I'm the only one interested in motion games, I tested the motion control abilities with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, Splatoon 2, Instant Sports, Taiko no Tatsujin, and Just Dance 2019 (I got my first "superstar" score with these controllers!). I didn't find any issues and the performance seemed to be on par with what the Nintendo Joycons offer.Helpful for motion games are wrist straps, and I love the built in wrist straps on these. I think Nintendo dropped the ball on this and I really prefer having them on the Joycons all the time without having to carry the additional wrist strap accessory. Great for impromptu sessions with Taiko no Tatsujin, Arms, Instant Sports, and Just Dance. The wrist straps shipped unattached and I had to install them myself, so be careful when unwrapping the controllers when you first get them. I wasn't expecting a wrist strap so it fell on the floor. You'll still want to use the Nintendo wrist strap rails for better shoulder button input if playing a game in "SNES" orientation or playing a multiplayer game where each person gets one single joycon (such as Mario Kart and Puyo Puyo Tetris). The Nintendo rails fit these controllers perfectly. The unique rounded width/grip of the controllers themselves is fine enough for playing in this orientation. The D pad works fine as ABXY and is actually really nice. (The D pad feels better than Power A's "pro" controller!)Obviously these controllers aren't compatible with the Nintendo Charging Grip but they work great with the Hyperkin Kitter, turning it into a "pro controller" of sorts (albeit, with a much more shallow grip).Thumbsticks are stiffer than Nintendo's but are preferable to me due to finer control of small movements. Hexagonal cutout beneath the thumbsticks are in the proper cardinal directions- they aren't super noticeable while playing but some GameCube fans might like having them there. You'll first want to calibrate the thumbsticks in settings for the best experience (according to my brother, I didn't even think to do it). L3 and R3 work as expected. Some buttons feel stiff at first but I hardly noticed while playing. My brother believes the triggers are stiff, particularly when playing Animal Crossing, but I didn't personally notice that while playing Splatoon 2 or Puyo Puyo Tetris. He did admit they weren't as noticeable when playing a beatemup game like Dragonball Z. The triggers are very audibly clicky, but I stopped noticing after a short while. The buttons are not. Personally, I prefer a clicky controller. These controllers feature traditional rumble, but not HD for haptic feedback- I personally prefer this as a more retro gamer. My brother said it's fine for Animal Crossing but he can't tell the difference between a fish nibbling or fully biting the bait when fishing. The weight of the plastic feels cheap but is fine for what it is, I don't even notice it when playing handheld, to be honest. I did notice its a little stiff to eject from the console but I have no concerns for the long run.As expected, there is no amiibo support, but I never need it anyway. Some additional notes from myself and my brother:The lights blink whenever the switch is charging, which can be distracting at night-especially when charging in handheld mode.An update prompt constantly pops up on the home screen for my brother. Selecting update did nothing for him except claim that connection was lost. Selecting update, for me, lead to my other Joycons being updated- but not these generic ones. The update prompt continued happening for my brother whenever on the the home screen, but doesn't for me. It wouldn't be enough to make me stop using them and it's obviously not stopping him either.Edit to add:They charge two ways:1. While connected to the Nintendo Switch, just like a Nintendo joycon would.2. With a micro USB cable. (a single micro USB cable was included)These controllers should work for Switch Lite owners. There is a sync button on the rails to connect these wirelessly. On your Switch Lite, go to the controller menu, select "change grip/order", and then hold down the sync button on the controller until the Switch says "paired" (it's a small pop up notification). Repeat for the other controller. The Switch will ask you to press L+R on the controller. If you want to use both controllers (one in each hand) at the same time, you'll simultaneously press L on the left controller and R on the right controller. If you only want to use one, simultaneously press SL and SR (on the rails) on a single controller. (repeat on the second controller for multiplayer)Regular switch owners can just slide these into the rails and they'll connect automatically.

Pretty nice controller
These Joy-Cons are so cute! The colors are very bright, the controllers are super comfortable when hold the device to play, the battery life seems to be pretty decent as well! I’ll definitely be recommending to friends!

Better than the OG
These joy cons are much more comfortable to hold than the stock ones. The only downfall is they aren’t compatible with the Nintendo switch remote that houses both joy cons. I will be buying more sets to have.

Wireless Joy-Con Controller
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I like the joy-con controller a lot. First of all, the controller comes with nice quality. It is very comfy to hold on my hands. Secondly, the ability to control is awesome. It’s sensitive but not to the point that it’s too sensitive to over react. Thirdly, it’s stability is great. With the controller comes with the switch, I have experienced lost of connection while I play games but it never happened to this joy-con controller. Highly recommended!

It woth the money
Me gustó más que los originales, muy comodos y funcionan bien, lo unico es que a la switch se la va más rapido la bateria pero en el lo demás muy bien!!

Improved grip
Works as intended. Doesn’t seem janky at all like some third party controllers. What I really like about these joy-cons is they have some ergonomic contour to the back of them. They’re more comfortable than the official joy-cons since those are flat. I also really dig the teal color too. No connectivity issues.

Works perfectly
These controllers are perfect for Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Then controllers connected to my switch right away. It said that they needed to be updated but they can't. However, they seem to work perfectlyThey charge whule connected, but there are micro usb ports on the controllers so you can charge them separately. The wider size makes it more comfortable which is noticeable since I play that game almost all day!The + & - buttons are easier to press than regular switch remotes. The joy sticks feel more springy. These are perfectly responsiveThe vibrations are much more pronounced. It helps me with fishing in Animal Crossing because I can feel the fish better.

Great buy!
Joycons are large but lightweight, they have a safety lock on the back so they do not slip off the switch accidentally. I prefer that feature to genuine joycons because mine always slip off pausing the game. For generic joycons the quality is there and I am using this as my primary joycons now because the large size fits more comfortably in my hands. Similar to an xbox one controller in size.

Consigliati!
