Fit perfect and worked better than original
Latch worked great. Original latch was very hard to open the door. That caused the latch to break, this latch holds the door firmly but releases as one would expect.

It works!
I bought a used maytag dryer after mine died. The seller was honest, sometimes the door needs a good smack because it won't turn on, or worse, will stop randomly because the door us detected as open. They'd put some tape on the latch to help it stay in, but it was a pretty big pain in the backside. I looked up the replacement parts. This at ten bucks, and the opposing latch at 20. Well, one of those seemed a little less reasonable for a small piece of plastic, so i started with the cheaper side. I used some googone to clean the tape off the latch, replaced this piece (two screws and you're done, no wiring, it's just a holder). Well, it works great. Is it possible i could have just cleaned both of the original parts? Maybe. I feel a little dumb i didn't try that first. But for 10 bucks, i feel done and movin' on.
