Used this for almost a year now before getting around to a review. It's awesome. Tacky enough to do yoga and works great as an impact layer for the larger exercise mat from Square 36 as well. Fits well for my space and I would buy it again.Here is how I break down my star rating:5 stars – I love it! It is awesome and I have no complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend everyone to purchase this product! You won't be disappointed!4 stars – I like it, but it's not perfect. The issues with it though are very insignificant and have not swayed me from thinking it was a good buy. I would purchase again.3 stars - It was okay. I like it well enough but I would probably not buy it again. That being said I am still happy I purchased it and will continue to use it. (I would also probably still recommend it with the disclaimer that it's decent but not amazing.)2 stars – Well... this product is not so great. I am sure you could find a better one without much trouble (and probably at a similar price as this one.)1 star – I don't the product. It does not stand up to my expectations and I wish I had not purchased it and (if applicable) will be returning it. I would not recommend it to anyone and think it was a waste of money.

This work out mat is perfect! Resists sliding, size is perfect for all kinds of workouts without you going off the mat. When kneeling you can't feel the floor and the mat shapes instantly to the part of your body on it giving you a non-skid/slip workout. Love it!...I am recommending it to my daughter who does yoga and anyone else...so sorry it took so long for me to take it out!

Maybe because of its size or material but the ends tend to not want to ever lay flat. They kind of curl up. But good quality mat overall.

I absolutely love my new yoga mat. I was so surprised at how quickly it arrived and it was actually large! The packaging is quite protective and it arrived in perfect condition. The whole reason I purchased this yoga mat is because the so-called larger, thicker mats that I had purchased from a local store were still too small and thin for me. I am new to yoga and require more space as I develop my stretch. My butt and legs are always hanging out past my other mats and my knees hurt from feeling the floor through those mats. But this large yoga mat is large enough for two people and thick enough that my knees no longer hurt. I feel more confident in stretching completely out and holding my poses nicely because I am not in knee pain and I am not hanging off the mat. I am very pleased with this yoga mat and I was so excited to get it home and make a dedicated space for it. I am becoming more faithful with learning yoga and if I am not doing yoga I use it for really good stretching. It is in a location where I am always seeing it. I am looking at it now. Yoga time!

Good large mat. One negative... it has quite an odor. I am waiting for it to disappear, but it has been over a month (is a closed off room in the basement) and still bothers me.

After looking for extra large mats, we were excited to find the 72 x 72 mats from Square36. We bought two of these mats to use in a stretch area and they looked great when we got them.However, within a week they both started shredding and pilling to the point that every time someone would use it they got up with black pieces of the mat on their clothing. It didn't matter whether people had bare feet (pieces attached to their feet), socks or shoes, the mat did not hold up to use.Upon contacting the company, they advised that the mat was only to be used in a home environment, indicating that it was not to be "used" as much as we were using it. They also advised that they would not provide any restitution.If you plan on buying a mat to "USE", do not buy this one.

Tried out the much anticipated extra large YOGA Mat. Not impressed. Still had to wear yoga paws to stop from sliding. Mat folds up when transitioning from different yoga positions. There is no rigidity to it.

This mat is heaven! It has just the right amount of cushion for mediations without interfering with balance poses. I can spread out and take up as much room as I need to without worrying if my hands are going to extend of the mat and cause issues. My only problem is that my cat thinks it's hers! She doesn't want to relinquish her spot when I do my Yoga. And "her spot" happens to be in the middle of the mat.I highly recommend this mat for any at home practitioner with the room. My three year old son is even able to find a corner and practice with me. It's adorable. I would highly recommend this mat to anyone serious about their practice.

I just bought & received this mat a couple weeks ago. I purchased it for stretching after work-outs (on a hard floor surface). I was a little concerned that the thickness might not offer enough cushion, but I am very pleased with how comfortable it is on hard flooring. According to the seller the slip resistance gets better with time, but even right off the bat I was already impressed at how slip resistant it is!Very good quality, and it's a local Canadian company. It's also nice that it comes with a carrying bag and straps to tie it up. I highly recommend this mat. I will be purchasing another one in the near future.

Be warned .... it's larger than you think! Seems nice so far .... don't like those small mats that don't even go all the way under you when laying down. Should also be great size for Tai Chi etc.haven't laid it down yet .... i've got a cold so i'm just not up for anything. Glad i didnt throw out my double sheet because my old rug sucks.Also .... the other yoga mat i was looking at had a delivery of 2 to 3 months .... Is it coming from Mars. Delivery was extremely prompt AND it looks nice an thick. THANKS

Mat is exactly as the discription says. Comfortable to use and rolls up for easy storage. Like the product says the traction gets better the more you use it. Have bought cheaper mats before and found they were stretchy and not worth the money this one works well.

I love this yoga mat! Being able to roll side to side on the floor while still ON the mat is heavenly - also, since so many poses require movements which require both length and width, this is SO much better than using two mats in an "x" or "t" shape!! I love the thickness of this mat, as well. It is heavenly. It is exactly as described and the only reason I wouldn't buy it again is because I actually would prefer one a little bigger -- but would buy from the same company. Shipping was FAST FAST FAST. I ordered and it was here in less than 48 hours.

Almost 10 years later this matt is still holding up great!
