Creative
This is an interesting and creative take on an RPG novel. The author has crafted a very enjoyable story with some fascinating twists.

So fun 👍
Makes me want to jump in game. Don't worry about the review that said this story was too far-fetched, I didn't find it as bad as that reviewer. The game in the book has only been online for less than a year and apparently only rich kids (vs the business savy) are in it long term. A character in the book explains that the game has attracted adventurers not crafters, farmers, etc. It may be hard to believe, but if all the gamer sites only focused on adventuring, and the game devs were only advertising to that customer base, I could see it happening IRL. Anyway, it's fun and I wish it were real 😀!

This was the first RPG with book I ever read and I I actually liked it very much
I found the game mechanism part of it interesting and I liked that this was a story where the character was simultaneously living in both the real world and the game world. I also liked that it was not about a warrior or someone whose main interest was going around slaughtering things. I liked the somewhat slow build from what was essentially a peasant to someone who was a leader and a good person. I like stories where the essential goodness of the character gives them their gains instead of violence or aggressiveness. He's Brave and assertive when he needs to be but that's not his focus in life. It kind of reminded me of the Nathan Lowell books, about an orphaned kid who starts serving on a Starship and eventually progresses through developing his values and skills and finds a purpose in life, that helps not only himself but others.

Decent LitRPG story, good characters
Good sequence in world building, mostly believable characters who grow in depth as written, as they grow in the game world. The actions and motivations of the devs and game runners provides an interesting counterpoint.

Good star for the series.
I really enjoyed this book. The MC has a great amount of ingenuity and turns things around in his favor. He is a good man and soon gets good followers.

I wanted to love it...
I'd like to start by saying i didnt read the entire book, i got about two thirds through and found myself skipping sections as they went into elaborste detail about he "sold this" or "built that", and then just ended up reading the ending to see if I missed anything (there is a decent twist at the end which actually explains some of the problems I had with the plot)Now as I said I wanted to love this book, but I just can't. It's not a bad book, the underlying premise is good, but I the execution is just not what I enjoy. I like slice of life stories and this book had quite a bit of it but the world this story is set in is... I can't tell. It's obviously a more advanced world than ours, but I can't understand how it's background works, the main character is made redundant but automation in a nutrient factory, and he then gets a job playing... the most boring full immersion game you could come up with. The game has been active for a year or so, but people are willing to play a game where, no shelter, no hot food, no mounts, no players market. And it takes until the MC to discover the idea of making an inn, I find it hard to believe that no one else thought of exploiting this untapped market, especially since there is apparently a lot of rich players and a good game currency/ real world currency conversion. There is an online component, but no social media, player game guides, streaming?? Why are people playing? What sets this game apart from others? And also some gameplay aspects that are just O_o - player prostitution, goblins torturing players... just why... I can't see a game getting away with that in real life.I also personally just couldn't find myself loving the MC, to me he felt bland somehow lacking a personality that made me want to cheer him on, I just wasn't interested if he succeeded or not.Overall, there is some really good points about the story, I was happy to see a story where the MC is not playing the game against an 1) an evil conglomerate trying to control everybody, 2) stuck in a Death game where you win or die, 3) the game IS your real world now. Not that those are great plot points, but it's nice to read stories where the MC plays because he loves gaming, and not the fate of the world/country rests on his shoulders. Or at least the story hasn't done so yet?

A great book with a good dose of MC luck
Dude gets absolutely crap job. Almost immediately he gets lucky and ends up with a bunch of boons, with that and some hard work and a little guidance a big advance is madeAs far as full immersion LitRpg goes this one is fairly mild, no constant danger, just friendship, adventure, and building. A nice change from the tired "I could die in game" tropes

Fun read
The author has put together a fun set of characters and a solid storyline. This is my second time reading which I seldom do and is as fun as the first read

Good RPG Novel
Eddie is broke and doesn't know where to turn. Then he sees an advert be a farmer online and goes for it. He expects to be doing RPG farming but finds he is doing actual farming! However, stuff happens and Eddie's time as a farmer is short. With his insanely high agility, Eddie is able to do other stuff and picks up an animal companion (Lucky) along the way and Eddie's life changes for the better. There is also weird stuff going on behind the scenes. This is a very interesting novel, and Eddie is a down to earth and likeable character. Really good read.

A very good start to hopefully a long series
Let's get the minor winngies out the wayYou can drug people (pharmaceuticals) or you can drag people ( by the hair or by hand )One letter makes a big difference!Cover pic is a bit bland but is correct and gives the book a lower appeal but makes sense as you read, the story is long enough to get your teeth into.MC is interesting and Sub C's balance well not heavy on character specs but just enough to inform and show how things advance for a characterGotta love the bunnies 🐰Read the book and enjoy it's worth it.I'll be waiting for the next book with interestThank you Mr. Larcombe for a pleasant read and keep it up.

excellent
I've read a fair few lit-rpg series and this is a pleasant change,it's not constant fighting, dungeons and impossible quests,Eddie the main character actually is trying to create something,he's got an idea and it's great watching him trying to achieve his goals, don't get me wrong there is fighting, dungeons and quests but they are interspersed around the growth of Eddie's dream.I've read all three books published do far and the quality continues and the story gets better and better.

Very enjoyable read
This book was a treat to read. No OP characters, clever plot and story line in both the real world and the game world make this a believable part of the future.Game play was interesting and entertaining and the characters are not invulnerable which makes a nice change.Good development. Bought the second book and cannot wait for the third one.Do buy today.

Great start to a new series
I've quite enjoyed this book, it's an interesting world, and the tech feels realistic. The characters are quite detailed, and I've enjoyed seeing them grow. My only complaint would be a few lines from the MC around immature attitudes to women, which seemed a bit unneeded. The character is young though, so could just be part of that. All in all, a great new game lit series, worth diving in to.
