Poor quality TARGET arrows! Fletching badly damaged, missing nocks.
Quality Control on these arrows is zero-stars. Only 4 of th12 arrows were usable, after disinfecting. The other eight had an assortment of problems. All eight had bad feather fletching: torn, ripped or missing. Of those eight, one had no nock, one had a warped nock, and one had no nock insert nor nock. Two arrows had improperly installed points. One point was dented. The bad fletching is a special concern. I have never seen fletchings damaged like this before. The feathers appear to have been "chewed" by animals! Also, the fletches are NOT cemented by a drop of glue at each end of the feather's shaft. (The maker needs to secure this product from exposure to insects, birds or rodents . . . whichever is munching on the product!) The "chewing" means I need to soak all the arrows with a bleach solution, to disinfect for animal germs!Spine is listed as "1000," but the arrows appear to have a much softer spine . . . maybe 1800. The spine value is not printed on the arrow shafts. These arrow are probably appropriate for 6 to 15 pound-pull bows . . . nothing more, for a safety's sake. This product is listed as "hunting arrows," however they are fitted with ogive-shaped target points. Arrow length (nock throat to end of shaft) is 31.5 inches. These arrow do not have the points or proper spine for hunting.I decided to "try" these arrows, due to their very low price of $40 per dozen . . . less than half the price of my other "practice" target arrows. Here, it's true . . . you get what you pay for. I am keeping these arrows for "re-fletching workshops" for my archery students. When re-fletched/repaired, I will use the arrows with 10-pound draw weight recurve bows, loaned to my beginning archers. Will NOT re-purchase this product! Very good for the price but the nocks go bad
Very good value. But the nocks are going bad soon. But the arrows themselves are pretty good
