Nice, Affordable, Easy-Wrap Tape - UPDATED
[UPDATE]This Kingou bartape lasted through 6903 miles during an 18 month timeframe (see pic). The tape never slipped and I never needed to re-wrap it during the 18 months.Without question the white stayed the cleanest of any brand white bartape I've used and has been the easiest to clean as well.I liked this tape so much that I installed a new set and again I spliced white and black together (see pic).I noticed a few reviews state that this tape "slipped off the bars", "unwrapped", or "was difficult to wrap" due to it not having an adhesive backing. If your bartape (any brand) is unwrapping or slipping off the bars it is because the bartape was installed incorrectly. Additionally, bartape (again any brand) not having an adhesive backing does not make it harder/difficult to wrap.[ORIGINAL REVIEW STARTS HERE]OVERVIEWA nice looking, easy to wrap, affordable synthetic bartape. I'd buy it again.DETAILSI've used many different bartape types (cork, synthetic, etc.) from many different "brands" and my preference leans more towards synthetic tapes than cork or leather. Knowing that most bicycle saddles and bartapes are manufactured (and engineered) by the same company (look it up: "Inside: Velo saddle factory"), I decided to try this Kingou branded synthetic tape.Having wrapped quite a few bars I thought the Kingou tape wrapped very well. There is no adhesive backing strip (I'm fine using tape with or without it) and the tape felt solid (I never feared it would break under pressure) and secure during wrapping.I wanted a two-tone black/white split wrap on my bike so I purchased a set of black and white tape. Even when splicing-in the white tape under the black, the tape laid down well. I noticed that Kingou also offers a black/white two-tone tape, but I have found that most two-tone tapes change colors in a different place than I want. By splicing-in two different tape colors I am able to control where the color change occurs on the bar.I added my own finishing tape to complete the tape installation. I will say that the included Kingou finishing tape isn't great, but I can say that about most other brands' finishing tape as well.KINGOU CUSTOMER SERVICEWhile I never needed to contact Kingou's customer service, I did receive an email from their customer service department after the tape was shipped. The email thanked me for my order, offered installation/wrapping instructions, and provided me contact info for help if needed. Nice!USAGE THOUGHTSMy uploaded pictures were taken after 1 month and 605 miles of riding in extreme heat and humidity. The wrap has held tight. The tape has not moved on the bar or unwrapped a bit. It's easy to clean (even the white, which is always a pain) and the ride and grip feel good. I'll see how durable it is over time, but for the price it seems like a great deal.

Great price, value & look
I wanted something inexpensive to wrap the handlebars of our stroller, so I purchased this handlebar tape because it was a reasonable price and because reviews were also good. After finishing my little project, I'm pleased with the look, grip and feel when I go out for walks with the stroller. The handlebar tape is made of a foam. The top side is patterned, although I would not call it a carbon fiber pattern. It has a thicker center underneath that tapers toward either edge, making overlapping the previous layer easy. It is also very forgiving; I wrapped and re-wrapped the bars several times to get the spacing just right between each rotation. Because of the foam construction, it compresses so you want to wrap tightly and expands to grip the handlebar firmly, so wrapped and taped properly, there is no way for it to unravel. The black tape included is not very useful because it is wide, not long enough to complete enough rotations finish the wrap. Granted, I used these to tape stroller handle bars which are much thicker than bicycle bars, but I would say stick with electrical tape. The end plugs included with the wraps are generic chrome finish plastic with no logo. They look inexpensive, but will do the job.Overall, easy install, good quality, and look. Skip the provided tape and opt for electrical tape in your color of choice

Please note: NO adhesive strip...but it still works!
I didn't discover this until I went to install this bar tape, but much to my surprise there is NO adhesive strip on the inner side of the tape rolls! I had already destroyed/scrapped the old bar tape, so I figured I'd try my best...I will say that AS OF NOW, this bar tape seems to do the trick. It looks good and is extremely comfortable, and with tight wrapping/proper tension as you install it it *seems* like it will stay put. Ultimately if it doesn't I'm not out a ton of money, but if the adhesive strip is a must-have, you might want to look elsewhere.

Better than expected
They have good grip, thick, easy to put on, comfy, and they look good on my bike. I’ve been commuting to work for a couple weeks with these and they seem durable. Better quality than I was expecting.

long lasting
Had this for almost 3 years now. I was going to go with a brand name I recognized, but thought I'd give this a shot mostly because I liked the look online and it was cheap enough. I got the silver. It looks fairly different in person, but it still looked good on my vintage Panasonic. It still looks pretty much new, which is kind of annoying. Because of the price I assumed I would replace it after a year. Now I find myself looking at other options just to have a change (and to make some adjustments on my brake lever position). I'd go for this brand/model again in a second if they had the style i'm looking for now.As for the comfort... it's ok. Not the best I've ever had, but good enough for short commutes and longer rides a few hours at a time. Feels good to the touch.

Not Stretchy Enough
As a former pro mechanic I've wrapped A LOT of 'bars. This is the worst tape I've ever used. It doesn't have enough stretch to work properly. I did manage to get the 'bars wrapped. The feel is OK, but kind of hard plastic-ish. The matte silver color looks nice with my frame. I think they'll hold up OK durability-wise, but I'm looking forward to replacing this stuff with something with more grip, more padding, and more stretch. There's so much great bar tape out there. Don't buy this stuff.
