Adair Temporary Hair Color Blue Black 2.2 Oz.

I have hair that is dyed an "exotic" shade (bright burgundy) and chose to try this product because it came in such a shade. I am highly pleased with the match to my hair color, as well as with the not-too-stiff texture and the natural-enough sheen. Fragrance is also not too heavy. However, I am not applying it to my entire head -- only to the roots. This is the challenge. With a high-pressure aerosol spray without a narrowed nozzle, precision application takes practice and preparation in order to not end up with overspray on scalp and forehead. The pigment is fairly strong and dries quickly. With the burgundy shade, especially, I can end up with a pretty demented look if I haven't 1) gloved up, 2) covered my forehead with tissue. The good news is that overspray is easily wiped off with rubbing alcohol. If you're willing to practice a bit with the spray technique and clean up a bit after yourself, this is a highly satisfactory product.

I have tried many colored hair products to cover the thinning area on the crown of my head. This product is one of the best. The color matches great, and it won't rub off when you rub your fingers on it or when you sweat from the gym or from being outside in the summer heat. And the price is right. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the application can be hit and miss. Sometimes when I spray it, it comes out perfectly. Other times it shoots out too much and leaves too much in one spot on my head, so then I have to wash it out and start over again. One thing that seems to help in this regard though is to spray it hard first once or twice into a paper towel or something. Then it seems to spray out better and more finely afterwards.

I can't use this product because it's really hot pink, not burgundy. Also, it's really hard to wash out and I've ruined one of my bath towels drying my hair because the color transferred. I washed the towel and the color won't come out. Overall, it's messy and not even the right color :-(

Love the glitter spray. Its great for going out or any performances you may have. I have used some of the color spray too and I have to say these come out in a really fine mist and makes application easy but with the colors if you have dark hair you have to really put it on...with the glitters they show up beautifully on all hair colors! : )

I really enjoyed the color and I accidentally sprayed my skin and it turned a copper color which is also pretty cool. The spray made my hair kind of sticky but it was fun to try something new for a little bit, and if you don't like it you can just wash it off in the shower!

To be honest, I don't think I used this for what it's meant for. It seems like it's meant for touch-ups between permanent hair dyes. I have thick, dark hair and I tried using the dark blonde to change my hair color entirely. The can ran out when I was halfway done, and the color wasn't blond. It was gold, it sparkled and everything. It washed out in the shower fine, I shampooed twice just to be sure, but afterward I had tiny sparkles on my arms. It's only noticable in certain light, and barely at that, but beware.

Get ready for a colored forehead, neck, and fingers. Horribly stick and I don't use oil of any kind on my hair. Epic Fail!!!
