I didn't know Kenny Rogers was a photographer until he mentioned it in an interview. Excellent! These photographs encapsulate the essence of stars that have now passed- their energy.. the best of them, captured! Well done Mr. Rogers!

Photographs taken by Kenny Rogers of celebrities. Many of them are dead now. Many are even forgotten. But the photos are priceless. I love the stories he tells about each one. I kept showing photos to friends. They are truly amazing.

This book was GREAT...The stories & the photos through out the book were beautiful..You could almost here Kenny Rogers voice..To me he has a very distinctive voice in singing and in talking..Very good reading...

Kenny took up photography as a hobby, between making platinum records, and got his famous friends pose for him. He really made an effort to shoot interesting photos of his friends.

Caught the fact Kenny Rogers was a photographer on a BBC 4 programme. As a collector of many photographers' books and a reasonably proficient portrait photographer myself I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised to find this is one of the best portrait style books I have seen. Composition, technique and quality is just excellent. They may be a little contrived in parts but he tells a story with each one so you can see into the man's vision.You would have to be pretty contrary not to enjoy this.
