This deck combines the Etteilla Tarot, Lenormand and Sibilla Cards with French Napoleonic themes. The symbolic imagery is interesting and the artwork is beautifully done. I won't use this for divination because it's not a well thought out symbol set. Neither the Lenormand or Sibilla are complete. I do like it because some of the cards are excellent/classical examples of what they are meant to represent.

Good stuff

First of all, I am one who is not bothered by borders unless they aren't tastefully done. In the case of these cards, I find the borders part of the charm of the deck. It just fits with the design of the whole package. The illustrations look like something one would find in a lavish picture book. Maybe comparable to a Dickens novel of sorts. Either way, as a collector of many decks, I think this is a nice addition with characters that are warm and inviting. If I feel as though I could walk into the illustration and be part of it, then I know the artist has done his or her job. I would get this deck again.

I bought this deck despite of many negative reviews that were written about this deck. This deck is called "Tarot Lenormand" and it is a mixture of Tarot, Sibilla and Lenormand. The images do not resemble the Rider Waite imagery at all and the LWB (Little White Book) refers to cartomancy meanings rather than usual Tarot meanings although there are some similarities (between the two systems of meanings).I've had a hard time deciding on which meanings I am going to use with this deck. It can work if:* You use Tarot meanings (only the written names match them)* You read intuitively and go by images only (like in intuitive reading)* You use playing card/cartomancy meanings for pip cards and traditional/usual meanings for the Major Arcana cards* You read it as Sibilla + Major Arcana mixture (you can also separate the Major Arcana and use only the pips tp read as Sibilla)* You read them as Lenormand by finding 36 cards that would represent the Lenormand cards (some of them like Dog and Bear are there but about the half of them should be improvised)I agree that this is a very unusual and confusing deck but I think it is fun. I bought this deck because of the Sibilla imagery that it has. I love that kind of art and was missing it. The cards have that European French feel to it and wonderful maroon and golden backs. For me the art feels SLIGHTLY kiddish, not very "in depth" and the figures don't have loads of line work that antique decks have. So it is not an antique deck but it reminds me of it, that's why I love it. I wouldn't call it a very "good-feeling" and "pleasant" deck but rather kitschy and neutral. Talking about the borders and the Lo Scarabeo titles in many languages. They do not bother me at all. I actually loved the turquoise borders for looking like a kitsch so openly. This deck is brave for being different and it knows it. Also the colors are as washed out as they look and after using it for a couple of months, you'll get a real antique deck that will look more worn out than ever anticipated.I have had great results with this deck and people love it. In this deck the theft comes as as the Sibilla man coming into the room from the window and the trip - as the card with the ship in the sea. I use only playing card meanings with this deck and I use Tarot meanings only for Major Arcana. This has really worked for me and I admit, although it's unusual but it's my main deck at the time and I just can't stop loving it.

Belo tarot com cartas bem feitas, grafias nítidas. As bordas das cartas tem uma bonita moldura aquarelada verde. O livreto é bem pequeno, letras miúdas, não vem em nossa língua. Seria interessante ter o livreto ara baixar em pdf para aqueles que comprassem o tarot.

Sehr schöne Tarot Karten, sehr gute Qualität, bin damit sehr zufrieden. Sie haben sehr schöne Symbole, so wie auch schöne Farben und klare Aussagen, was perfekt die Karten lesen lässt. Damit zu arbeiten macht wirklich viel Spaß und bringt auch viel Freude und die Karten zeigen nach meiner Meinung alles, egal um welche Situation es geht. Bin also sehr sehr zufrieden.

This is the type of deck where the standard RW meanings mean nothing and you use your intuition more in looking at the pictures. It is not recommended for beginners as it will throw you off in a big way.I read both Lenormand and Tarot and I still have difficulty with this deck. With that being said I still love it and believe that eventually I will bond with it.
