Vogue Fashion: Over 100 years of Style by Decade and Designer, in association with Vogue Paperback – October 10, 2008

I am not finished reading this book yet but am pleased so far with the information. The photos of varying eras and sketches are enjoyable and informative. My one complaint is that the book is not larger as my older eyes have some work to do reading the smaller type. I would have enjoyed this more if it had been at least an 8X10 size. Still there is a wealth of information in the book that I'm enjoying.

I love fashion and I love to see how style and fashion changed and evolved throughout the years. The pictures and photographs are great in this and you will learn some new things you didn't know about fashion. Vogue did a great job with this, and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

It was easy to read. I did not like that it did not go in-depth about the designers

It's interesting to read about fashion decade-by-decade (first part of the book), or to look up your favorite designers to see their personal and professional histories. However, this book is very poorly written, and even more poorly edited. There are a host of annoying typos. Furthermore, American readers might not realize, as I didn't, that it refers to BRITISH Vogue. Though it's about the fashion and not the magazine, the entire book is written from a British point of view. Still, makes good bathroom reading. Just don't drop it in the toilet. Oops.

You can't beat that.The 6" x 8.5" format in soft cover, printed on fine magazine stock, is a 150 pp overview of women's fashion during the last century as reported in VOGUE, profusely illustrated with colour photos of contemporary models. The remaining 250 pp lists illustrated biographies of 250 leading couturier(e)s.I can't imagine a more useful book for people wanting to place styles in their proper decade, and identify the creators.TP

Her 'table' top book .... always a hit with a person that loves fashion .... or maybe is interested in the history of fashion. Even your Grandmother would like it!
