Adequate for the price.
I bought this last year to use it with my camera as a Webcam since I have been teaching from home. The camera would run 4-6 hours with no problems. It worked without issues until last week when it just stopped working. There was no warning that something went wrong. It was working one day and the next it wasn't. The light on the converter box is off. I'm buying another one because I need it. I think it did what it needed to do and the price was fair (I think it was around 15 dollars at the time). I hope the new one doesn't crap out as well.

Connectors may not fit perfectly, but try it anyway
EDIT: my original review (which I have preserved below) reported that I could not fit the connectors together. When you try to fit them together, there is a great deal of resistance, and it seems like forcing it through is will break each part, but I went ahead and tried forcing it in anyway, and it successfully went in and the product works as designed. So, if you order this and find the same issue, just try forcing it through (which, even as I write this, this doesn't seem like sound advice for electrical products.)Original Review: I don't know if I was sent incorrect parts, but I cannot use this product because the connectors don't fit together. In this picture, the male IEC 320 C8 prongs on left have a sharper casing than the IEC 320 C7 female prongs on the left, even though they do appear to be C7/C8 couplings.

Works for my SL1, and as others have mentioned yes the fitting between the power cord and adapter is a bit loose. Another thing I've noticed (and is the main reason I knocked off a star) is that the adapter seems to make a high pitch noise once the camera is turned on. If you're in a noisy environment or using an external microphone you probably won't hear it/pick it up, but if you are recording in a quiet place (e.g. an interview), your camera and audio equipment may pick it up. Other than that, it gets the job done at a fraction of the price of the $79 official Canon adapter.

It works, and my camera hasn't melted yet.
I've only had this a few days, and nothing bad has happened. That's about all you need to know, right? So far, the camera stays powered up, with it's usual timeout for inactivity. My only gripe is that the battery indicator shows half power. I have yet to see if that has any negative implications.I'll update if anything changes.UPDATE (11/2/18): I've been running the camera 2-4 hours at a time, 4 days a week, and no issues.

I was at first disappointed because the power adapter introduced a buzz into the sound of videos shot with this device connected. However, I discovered after some experimentation that the cable for my external microphone was too long to use with this adapter. It had worked fine under battery power, but combined with the ac connection there was a problem. When I switched from a 10 foot cable to a four foot cable the noise disappeared. It is great to be able to film long sessions with ac power as the battery invariably died when it was most inconvenient to stop and switch batteries.

Help?
Would rate 5, but after 30 minutes if having it on, it shut off automatically. Even if in the settings I have it set to stay on... Any suggestions?

Kapaxen ACK-E15 used with Canon Rebel SL1 DSLR
Works perfectly in my Canon Rebel SL1 to avoid using a battery. I've been using it for a full month, including overnight time lapse, with no issues. I'm not sure if something that does exactly what it says it will should be 4 or 5 stars and I don't know if there might be an issue in the future but I'm giving it 5.

Works Well
This thing does its job. My one complaint is the outlet side cord does have a tendency to fall out of the AC unit. The female portion of the AC unit doesnt grip it well enough... which is only a problem if you are moving around. If you keep it stationary, you wont have a problem.
