The original and still the best on the market. This product is well made and durable. All the moving parts fit together perfectly and make for a useful tool. Once you get the hang of carrying a stitch from one to the next it, goes fast and smooth with a great tool like the Speedy Stitcher.I'm sewing heavy canvas right now, but it works on leather and vinyl covered nylon like the tarps on trailer or gymnastics mats.

Very handy tool, for repairing leather items, belts, boots, so forth. One of the needles that came with it, broke fairly early, but it's no big deal to get a replacement.

this awl is exclent it is made very strong and will do the job. I have used other awls that made the job harder than it should be. Not this one it works great. Made very well.

Little confusing on how to use but will do the job of repairing the canvas on the tent camper Gave as a gift

It may be of good quality. I have not used the stitcher yet. I found the instructions to be very little help. I had difficulty getting the end cap off. I asked, Army Universe for help & Received a very prompt reply , “ We don’t know anything about a Speedy Stitcher”. So, I contacted Stewart’s , Two times and no response at all. Finally I got the cap off on my own. So, if I just had a bit more detailed instructions, I could perhaps, raise my 1 star up a few notches !

Item was as advertised. It was durable for light repair work. It came with instructions that were clear. Great to put in a pack for field use.

I used it too repair the strap of a 5 year old laptop computer bag. The strap started to come off and I reattached with the awl. The awl did a great job.

I was able to sew some patches on some outdoor items that I would have just replaced with out finding this tool. Great money saver. Great tool, great service.

The tool worked quite well once i had found out what to do. However it was in an ordinary cardboard box instead of a "Clampack".
