Wix33972 Fuel Filter

Arrived on time and as advertised

I used this as an inline filter between my auxiliary truck bed tank, and the original tank, after installing a gravity feed kit. This keeps any debris from becoming lodged in the tank fill valve kit in the filler neck of the original tank. You still need to maintain your secondary filter on the engine which filters smaller micron particles. I had used gasoline inline filters in the past, but in recent years found they no longer will flow the diesel as they use to, even when new. This filter is more expensive, but flows very well until the outside of the filter element screen becomes filled with debris from the supply tank. A side tip: I have successfully cleaned this filter when it clogged (doing it's job). I used a can of brake clean to back flush the debris out of the filter, then flushed with a small amount of fresh diesel to not allow the brake clean to attack the plastic or glued filter. I have done this twice, but still do carry another spare filter in case this one breaks down or pops a hole in the screen element. Also if you install a gravity feed kit in your truck, I suggest purchasing a better quality 90 degree shut off valve for in the line so this filter can be maintained (changed) with out taking a bath in fuel. Most of the shut off valves which come with the kits are of poor quality, and many reviews say they leak, so I never used the one which comes with the kit.

this is the cheapest of the parts bought for a Mahindra. The Bosch injection pump completely chewed itself apart. Expensive fix, but customer happy.

I bought this filter for use with an in bed auxiliary fuel tank for my diesel F350 pickup. The barb on this matched the fuel line size of 5/16" and the critical part it is compatible with diesel. This filter is rated for 1 gpm which is double my pump output. I have used this for almost a year and have pumped over a 1000 gallons through it and it is still working as it should. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another when I need to replace it.

I bought this in line filter for an Auxiliary Diesel Fuel Tank, it separates contaminates very well. I was able to drain contaminated fuel before it could reach the fuel tank. Very high flow rate as well being that my tank is gravity feed.

Works good, cleans the fuel of the heavy particulate pre-metal filter.

Very happy with this!! Catching trash without slowing down fuel flow! And I can see when it is getting full so I can swap it out before any performance issues come up.

This filter was used in a gravity fed fuel system. It works well and will be purchased again when needed.
